Paul M. Williams author of The Al-Queda Connection which is due to be released soon, provides a compilation of data based on; FBI, CIA, Vice President Cheney, Homeland Security, Attorney General Ashcroft and news sources. Makes a strong case that there are 20 suitcase nukes in the USA which have been smuggled in through the border with Mexico.
You don't have to be an "expert" to know the basics of how one of these things works. Wikipedia and Google can get you all the details you need. Could I design one? Probably not. I can't design a car either, but I can tell you how it works, and probably in more detail than I can with nukes.

You know it can't be hard if the clerk can do it. Get a book and a tape. In a couple of years, if we haven't been blown completely off the planet, the Arabic language website will be transparent and you can ask the clerk some pointed questions.

Though a nuclear attack is difficult, it is not improbable. Who is helping to build the Iranian nuclear plant? Russia, France, and who knows who else. Do you think the Mullahs can bribe a few of those scientists to assist them?
Probably not, because the Russians and French have so much integrity... \sarcasm If not them, how about the Red Chinese? Didn't the Chicoms pilfer information from Los Alamos? or was it sold to them?
The point is that AQ has the resources to buy the expertise and equipment they need. It is not improbable.
There must be 5000 mosques. I turned in to a random parking lot to change directions last Monday. What was it? A mosque. They're where you'd never expect them to be. The place is loaded with external video surveillance cameras.
I thought this sounded very familiar. I remember hearing something similar 2 or 3 years ago.

A new book by an FBI consultant on international terrorism says Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network purchased 20 suitcase nuclear weapons from former KGB agents in 1998 for $30 million.
The book,"Al Qaeda: Brotherhood of Darkness," by Paul L. Williams, also says this deal was one of at least three in the last decade in which al-Qaida purchased small nuclear weapons or weapons-grade nuclear uranium.
When I say "bring in and out" I'm talking on the level of KGB using "diplomatic bags" or private aircraft. This is not the sort of thing you lug back and forth through the Sonora every couple of years (and it would probably be even more frequently than that if you tried to subject it to that sort of abuse).
Suitcase nukes, or backpack nukes as they are sometimes called, are only termed so because they are small enough to be manportable. They are not intended to be dragged all over creation, at least not without several techs along for the ride to make sure the thing doesn't break.

Not necessarily. Why just set off one nuke in a mall in Nebraska. You get more bang for your buck if you use several in many places at one time. Greater attention to the act, hurt the economy worse, etc. As for 5,000 cells, that would not surprise me in the least bit. There are over 11 million illegal aliens in this country now. Millions more that came here legally that may not just be here to be future Americans, but rather here to kill a few thousand of us. Look have they have swarmed into Europe. They are doing it here. If you refuse to see that, you are making a mistake. The bad guys are here. They intend to do harm. Count on it big time. We are not "SAFE" from an attack within.

I don't know why they do what they do. Why don't they start blowing up a pizza jernt on a saturday night? Or set up some more sniper teams a la the Washington Snipers (good name for a sports team?). They had the whole area terrorized for almost a month. Two guys.

Who knows? Why did they wait so long between the two attacks on the WTC?

I was asking same question, other thread. Rove is not that important. Question is what DON'T they want to report on. All I could think of was terror.
