When are they going to enforce the ones on the books and follow the constitution instead of creating revenge?

...Oh, didn't you hear? Burgler's clearance is only going to be 'suspended' for a little while. ...Kinda like Clinton's Law License. More Slick than Teflon, I guess.

But when has the US Constitution ever fazed the Democrats?

Good Grief! We still have many vacancies in the federal courts, no UN Ambassador, SCOTUS vacancies growing, and the 'rats biggest priority is nailing Karl Rove who got ambushed on a phone call.

YEah, I was thinking about that. This can't be their top priority. What DON'T they want to be talking about? My guess is terrorism.

If your investigation had no time limit and you were getting big bucks, a big staff, and media attention, wouldn't you take all the time you wanted ?

Can you say, boondoggle courtesy of the taxpayer ?

Ah, let 'em pass their silly bill. Then after they do, we bring impeachment charges against each and every one for breaking their oath to uphold the Constitution.

I know contractors who keep a security clearance for years (don't know the rules surrounding all this), but what would you consider "current" ?

Rove is a political strategist, not a national security advisor, so IMHO he could function quite well without a high security clearance.

I believe Rove is now cheif of staff.

I propose it be retroactive so that Leaky Leahy be forced to relenquish his cushy job.

If they want to get Rove, they'll have to do just that...

Yup it was no coincidence that the commies at home helped the commies there. They were freakin' allies and nobody ever really put it together, that I'm aware of.

The quote you gave about Bush on the Plame situation is the correct one. He never has said anyone would be fired. That is the MSM saying it and then lying that Bush said it. The MSM lies about everything Bush does or doesn't say because they are quoting the Dems who have nothing accurate or truthful to say any more. So the defense of the MSM is that they were only quoting their sources.

Plame's own blowhard husband revealed that she wasn't undercover when he made his trip to Niger. In fact, her own boss in the CIA stated that Plame outed herself when she started openly dating Wilson as an embassy official back in the 1990s. That is when they sent her back to the states to an analyst desk job at the CIA, I believe in 1997. So, anyone talking about her after 2002 was safe to do so according to the law.

What chutzpah for Wilson to still go on tv and keep lying through his teeth, knowing no one will call him on it to his face. Was he under oath when he testified before the 9-11 commission? He should be slammed with perjury.

They didn't put it together because the communists in America were more like Al-queda. A governmentless, stateless, amorphorous mass of underground filthy bearded pigs in dirty nightshirts fomenting revolution and committing treason.

I think many of us who lived here during the dark days thought about it. No one every paid for that. Imagine, she had greater security clearance than many or even most generals.

Committee Chairman Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., both mentioned a name, Fulton Armstrong, that had not previously come up in public accounts of the intelligence flap. It is not clear whether Armstrong is the undercover officer, but an exchange between Kerry and Bolton suggests that he may be.

The Constitution provides immunity of members of the House and Senate for remarks made on the floor or during official business (such as a hearing). I was watching the Bolton confirmation hearings - during which Bolton referred to "Mr. Smith" instead of using Mr. Armstrong's name - but Kerry, in immediate response uttered "Mr. Armstrong" on several occasions. These people cannot be trusted to deal with sensitive intelligence information.

I watched a bit of Joe Wilson's appearance with Schumer this afternoon and I have drafted the following White House response:

WHITE HOUSE OFFERS TO FIRE KARL ROVE

July 14, 2005 The White House - The President offered this afternoon to fire advisor Karl Rove over his involvement in the Valerie Plame episode, on the condition that several Senators and Representative that he considers noxious traitors resign first, have replacements for their respective seats appointed, and have their replacements sworn in before Rove is dismissed. The list of Senators and Representatives is:

Sen. Edward Kennedy

Senator Hillary Clinton

Senator Charles Schumer

Senator Richard Durbin

Senator Barbara Boxer

Representative Sheila Jackson Lee

Representative Maxine Waters

Representative Alcee Hastings
