If I may jump in, from an anthropological standpoint, and using scientific terminology, there are only three racial classifications...Negroid, Caucasoid and Mongoloid. Negroid consisting of original peoples of the African region primarily, Mongoloid consisting of the original Asian peoples...and Caucasoid comprising primarily of the original Caucasian Humans. Most every ethnicity and nationality today, even many of Africa's peoples and certainly Americans, are some mix of the three human races.

Some of the extreme Southern nationalists sound like they believe in a separate Southern race when they overdo the Celtic stuff.

I think that the Celtic influence in the South is a bit overrated anyway. There was probably more Celtic influence in the South than in many regions, but they were still Celtic drops in the Anglo-Saxon ocean that is the American melting pot.

There are the 3 you mentioned plus the fourth, Australoid.
