Per Beth, a lady called or informed Beth about the barrel. The lady's son spotted it while swimming and the mother thought that it needed to be persued.

Beth said that there is still a lot of work to be done. Beth stated that she is not planning on leaving Aruba until she has answers. She said that it may come a time when she has to take a temporary absence from Aruba because of her other child, but it will only be temporary. She/they need answers to what happened to Natalee.</p>

What if the Aruban authorities don't let her return? I wouldn't put it past them.

Were you speaking the truth in #981?...I am a writer...but I am also jaded. When people say wonderful things about life, I often wonder if they are joking..because people don't really love life any more.

Then the 'off the island' idea would be more paramount to me. And then add 'something bad happened to Natalee' could be just that.

Is it possible that she is alive and off the island, but they want people to think she is dead so they stop looking?

Well, they won't stopped looking and they do feel she is dead - otherwise, why search in the water, on ground, etc.

When my boys started driving, I really didn't ask them where they were going, because I knew they would just lie about it anyway.

I did tell them to be home at a reasonable time. No, I was just an average "Mom"..

It has been some time since I last resolved the case and came to my conclusion. I think it helps to have more info at one's disposal before issuing an opinion on the case, especially in criminal cases of which we're not privy to most crucial information. I think it's sensible, don't you agree?
