According to Karl Penhaul the area that "used" to be the shark infested area is where the hotels used to dump refuse. That was stopped years ago and there is no actual shark infested area right off the side of the island to drop someone into. At least that was his report.
If they were trying everything they could, they would have someone posing as a prison (an expert in making one feeling confident) next to Joran to see if he says anything.
BUT, everyone is friends there - so that won't happen.

Doesn't mean Natalee won't be found by accident. People will ALWAYS look for her there..always. It will become legendary. But she could have been given up to the SEA, and never be found.

Indeed. I'll tell ya something else, when all Americans have left, and NH's bodies surfaces somewhere in the future, the Arubans won't notify Beth, Dave or anyone else.
The Arubans will just put the body into a grave & keep mouths shut.

Ultimately, I would like to see them put away, with the hopes that no other young woman with the world on a string be dealt so harsh a blow.

How does a mom totally give up hope? she looks like if you went *puff* you'd blow her over. While of course the ebb and flow of people will slow down--I don't blame her for wanting (if she can stay is a different story) to stay, just in case! What an awful predicament to be in.
