I work for a large, multi-national corporation. We employ from all corners of the world. I deal, on a daily basis, with more religious/ethnic backgrounds than you can imagine.
Because I have to, to do my job, I go about my business with these folks like there was nothing to be concerned about.
Do we get along?
Sure.
Do I trust them?
Of course not.
The company wasn't pressured into providing ME with a special, private prayer room and foot washing station.
Do I actually believe that everyone that uses the prayer room goes there to pray?
Again, of course not.
Am I prepared?

Same boat here. Done some H1B hiring back when the economy was better. My own personal screen was far more stringent than anything either the company or the government required. Still, most other managers are clueless.
