So I can find the thread as she gets closer.
Praying for you and your brother.
Hey neighbor. (I'm in Brownsville)
Okay, I'll spare you as a FRiend, as well. ;-)
We have talked off and on about shutters but we have ply wood stored that are cut and numbered.
If it gets into the western gulf it won't be a Cat 2 unless some major shearing is occurring. The water is just too hot and neither Cindy or Dennis stirred it up.
If it gets into the western gulf, we had all better hope that it hits Mexico no matter how much we need the rain.
A little off-topic, but why are any Americans going to Aruba these days?
According to latest recon, pressure has dropped to 980mb
Dunno. I'm going to London on my break next month.
I had already planned to before certain events took place. I certainly have no qualms about going, though. I'm looking forward to it.
If Houston ends up in the crosshairs, it'd still be about a week away, so you have some time. But it's pay attention time by Sunday, in any event.
She's looking small and tight on satellite this morning.

My brother-in-law went to St. Lucia for his honeymoon 3 weeks ago. I made a joke about a wedding hurricane and he said St. Lucia doesn't get effected by hurricanes at all. I just looked at him funny.
I wonder if he noticed Emily?
Our daughter's scheduled to fly out Sunday morning on their honeymoon to CANCUN. We've told her to get information from the travel agency just in case. I think I"m more nervous about her trip than she is now.
I think that would be a great show of support anyway (on top the wonderful support you show every day). Good on you!
Wow, bad timing. I think more people will be wanting to leave Cancun that day than arrive there.
Where ever she ends up I will be happy to see Floridians get a much needed break. I think a northern Mexico landfall could still give Texas our needed rain. Or at least come clouds and shade!
With a July like this what will August and September be like? We may have to use up the w x y and z names.
I see the forecasted track has been moved North just scraping the Yucatan.
She's still a long way out, but...(enter Jaws music).
bookmarking...sister in League City.
I could have saved them lots of money and trouble. They could have sat by next to our swimming pool next to the elephant ears; I could have sprinkled a little sand on the ground, put on some Buffet and given them a mixed drink! LOL
Seriously, she's stressing since this is her first time on a plane. The travel agent told her they can only get a voucher if the trip goes belly up b/c of weather.
