It seems to merely be confirming the things discussed in the weekend stories. I guess Rove was technically a source because he talked about it. So this just seems like a routine report about an event everyone knew was about to happen.
Hello, aren't grand jury proceedings supposed to be secret?
"The Wilson/Plame affair is not about obstruction of justice or perjury [read: this is more serious than anything Bill Clinton ever did -- even though he didn't do those things]. This about the War. And how Bush lied in order to gt us into a bad war. And how that is Rove's fault."
Shorr then went on to recite a list of facts:
Wilson was a top Africa Expert.
He was sent to Niger to scope out the yellowcake situation.
He traveled throughout Niger, talking with EVERYBODY of importance.
Wilson verified that there was no yellowcake/Iraqi connection.
Subsequent intelligence reports from Italy and Britain have been proven to be forgeries and/or bald-faced lies.
Bush ignored the wisdom of Wilson, latched on to the bogus intelligence material and LIED to the American people, using those infamous 16 words.
All this is documented fact. And the Wilson affair will be the ultimate doom of the Bush presidency.
I laughed and laughed. The Democrats are going "All In" on this one.
How does Time know what was testified to in a grand jury session that was held today?
The RATS are so full of venom that they forgot that FOLK DON'T GIVE A SH** DURING THE SUMMER TIME!! Hello, stupid dirty RATS, the WHOLE USA population are on vacation and all this dirt ain't gonna fly!! Folk are too busy planning their get away from THEM! I for one hit the road tomorrow for a much needed RR! WHEN will the RATS learn...never I hope!!
Lets break this down. Rove tells Cooper off the record to be careful with the Wilson story because its BS. He says Wilson wasn't sent by Cheney or any admin official but "his wife who apparently works for the CIA" got him the job.
Cooper decides that the story isn't "Wilsons yellow cake claims may be false" but " Administration slashes and burns Wilson, says CIA wife got him the job."
Rove told one reporter confidentially that a partisan liar Wilson was never sent by the admin but his CIA wife got him the gig. Cooper outs the wife by blaring it in Time and of course the distraught couple then pose for the cameras of Vanity Fair, fearful of course, that Valarie might be noticed.
As a side note, CNN ran a story about this yesterday and showed the picture of Wilson and Plame in the car but blurred out Plames face. Unfreakinbelievable.
I read an greatly larger version of this a couple of days ago. Verbatim. In fact, the only words added are, "The admission comes during a grand jury hearing on Wednesday." (Notice the weasely way that sentence is phrased?)
I suspect that this pathetic entry is the result of somebody trying to start a "blog". Forget about it.
