Calif. Guard Targeted Over Pig-Blood Flier

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Islamic leaders and peace groups are criticizing the California National Guard for a flier posted in its headquarters suggesting the United States execute Islamic terrorists with bullets dipped in pig's blood to deny them entry to heaven.
The flier attributed the practice to World War I General John J. Pershing.
"Maybe it is time for this segment of history to repeat itself, maybe in Iraq?" the flier stated. It was posted outside a cubicle in the Guard's Civil Support Division.
A second flier showed the wings and tail of a bomber forming a peace sign with the slogan, "Peace the old fashioned way."
Also posted was a cartoon from a Web site showing a Red Crescent ambulance stuffed with weapons and a caricature that looks like the late-Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat unloading the weapons.
Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Doug Hart at first defended the postings to the San Jose Mercury News, which reported them Tuesday, but Hart later said they had been removed.
Peace activists spotted the fliers during a tour last week.
The tour came after peace groups and a state senator questioned whether a new Guard unit had been formed to spy on U.S. citizens and had monitored a Mother's Day anti-war rally. A federal investigation of the allegations is underway.
"It's troubling to see a governmental organization dedicated to the security of our country promoting culturally and religiously insensitive ideas," said William Youmans, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Santa Clara. "It's very possible to combat terrorism without offending the cultural values of a major world religion."

>> Actually Christianity is much in the mold of the the "Death cults" <<
You seem to be suffering from the same form of brain disease as the SCOTUS. You are paying too much attention to someone's INCORRECT interpretation of Scripture just like the SCOTUS is paying too much attention to other interpretation of the Constitution instead of the document itself.
Jesus Christ taught us to love or enemies, not behead them. Have you ever heard of a Christian killing another person just because the believed differently IN YOUR LIFETIME?

I always said the easiest way for us to stop them from blowing up planes would be to have a pig on every flight.
Might smell - but it's better to smell and live.

Wow, I sure am glad that these folks went and told about what they saw - otherwise I would never have known to dip my bullets into pig's blood. I suspect that I'll have to clean my guns more often, but if this is what needs to be done, this is what needs to be done.
Thank you peace activists for your continued duty to the United States. Hopefully tomorrow you'll be like that jailbird Martha and let us know about another 'good thing.'

Pigs blood or no, does anyone really think these terrorists are going to Heaven? It's not what WE believe, it's what THEY believe.
Of course, it doesn't affect them if you don't tell them about it before you shoot them.
"Hey Abdul, I am showing you this bacon wrapped bullet before I shoot you...you ain't going to heaven. Durka Durka."

Yes. Fundamentalist Christian anti-abortionist killed a doctor who believed differently.
And why limit it to my lifetime? The history of Christian killings over religious dogma is well documented for thousands of years over the entire globe. Nothing has changed in Christian theology from that time until now.

The US Military should announce clearly that this will be their new practice, and place pig blood in all bombs and bullets. If Ahmed intends on getting his ultimate reward, don't run the risk of getting shot by an American soldier. If all these animals understand is religion and reward, than let's put this war in terms they can clearly understand.

What that person did was against Scripture. Thou shall not murder.
Read the Bible. Again, you are judging Scripture by how it is interpreted by others and not what it actually teaches. Read it and decide for yourself.

I would like to get a copy of that flier.
Even better yet, I would have liked to have been there for the guided tour to make sure that the people protesting the fliers did not miss them.
You go in almost any armory in this country and servicemen have fliers like that up all over the place.
It is similar to the nose cone art on World War II aircraft.
I love it.

THEY'RE WORRIED! THIS PROVES WHY WE MUST DO WHAT THE FLYER SUGGESTS!

And Muslims who kill innocents do so against their scriptures that tell them to show mercy to the weak and respect to Jews and Christians. The Koran has separate sutras telling them to not have close friends among the "unbelievers" and a separate one telling them not to have close friends among Jews and Christians. So the sutras telling Muslims to kill the "unbelievers" do not apply to Jews and Christians according to mainstream Islamic thought.
You have set up a catch-22 where Christian fundamentalists who ignore scripture and murder don't count as Christians; But Muslim fundamentalists who ignore scripture and murder DO count as Muslims.

Whether the protesters like it or not, we are at war, and we will not prevail in that war if we handicap ourselves with "sensitivity" to the enemy.

As long as they submit to islamic law. If the do not, they are to be enslaved or killed.
Compare the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Mohammad. Who would you rather follow?
Do hate all religion or just Christianity?
I haven't set up anything. You are still STUCK on judging scripture by how others INCORRECTLY interpret it.
Taking into account how modern followers of islam are acting, THEY are the problem here, not Christians.

Who said I hate Christianity? Pointing out their similarity to historical "death cults" of Osiris and Mithra just means I am educated, not that I hate anybody.
Besides your not much of a Christian; your only religion seems to be "kill the infidel".

Right. I wonder if they've made any comment about the killer of the Dutch filmmaker Van Gogh, who in his trial said he killed because of his faith, and would do it again.
To: AD from SpringBay
They just had a HUGE Islamic interfaith conference and issued a joint declaration that terrorist nut jobs like Osama Bin Laudin are not qualified to issue fatwas, and that no Muslim from any of the major sects can be declared a heretic (such as those Iraqi's who are working with the USA or chose to vote in the Iraqi election).
