Calif. Guard Targeted Over Pig-Blood Flier

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Islamic leaders and peace groups are criticizing the California National Guard for a flier posted in its headquarters suggesting the United States execute Islamic terrorists with bullets dipped in pig's blood to deny them entry to heaven.
The flier attributed the practice to World War I General John J. Pershing.
"Maybe it is time for this segment of history to repeat itself, maybe in Iraq?" the flier stated. It was posted outside a cubicle in the Guard's Civil Support Division.
A second flier showed the wings and tail of a bomber forming a peace sign with the slogan, "Peace the old fashioned way."
Also posted was a cartoon from a Web site showing a Red Crescent ambulance stuffed with weapons and a caricature that looks like the late-Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat unloading the weapons.
Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Doug Hart at first defended the postings to the San Jose Mercury News, which reported them Tuesday, but Hart later said they had been removed.
Peace activists spotted the fliers during a tour last week.
The tour came after peace groups and a state senator questioned whether a new Guard unit had been formed to spy on U.S. citizens and had monitored a Mother's Day anti-war rally. A federal investigation of the allegations is underway.
"It's troubling to see a governmental organization dedicated to the security of our country promoting culturally and religiously insensitive ideas," said William Youmans, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Santa Clara. "It's very possible to combat terrorism without offending the cultural values of a major world religion."

I think I read you the wrong way Mylo. Please accept my apologies. I've run across a very few posters on here who think that Christians are always wrong and muslims can do no wrong. I thought you were one of those, you're not.
I know it seems like I am stereotyping, but if you do a learn what the Saudi gov't is teaching in the mosques right here in the US you will also be suspicious of all muslims. The koran teaches that lying to infidels is okay. That's why I do not trust them.
I used to have a link to the docs that disclosed what was really going on, but my 'puter has been replaced and I've lost the link.

"Jesus got angry at the money changers in the temple and resorted to violence to kick them out."
Jesus was angry because the money changers had turned His Father's house in to a marketplace when it was built to be a place of worship.
When Jesus asked us to "turn the other cheek" He wasn't talking about a war.

I surely do like the way you two discussed and settled your differences. I wish more people would discuss and reach common ground on issues.

It's another example of Islamists getting their panties in a twist or is that on their heads. Sorry, I just can't keep up with the latest fashions.

"It's very possible to combat terrorism without offending the cultural values of a major world religion." It's very possible to end Islamic terrorism by using their silly superstitions against them.

Can I also be added to your tag line, please?

I don't think kicking their tables over was violence against them (hmmm, have to re-read those passages). As my tag line indicates; Jesus did advocate self defense. Turning the other cheek to a slap assaults only the pride of a Christian (who should have none but be humble). But Christ said, in parable, that it was better to not have a cloak and be naked before the fury of the elements, than to not have a sword and be naked before the fury of your fellow man. Where did he say this? Fascinating.

No, Egypt isn't quite as bad as France. Probably only because they lack UN veto power, but still...

What kind of PCR techniques did you learn?

PCR? Heck I met Kerry Mullis. I've done RT-PCR for cloning, and diagnostic PCR for detection of bacteria in cell cultures, and sequencing PCR for taxonomic classification for American Type Culture Collection.
About the only type of PCR I haven't done is quantitative RT-PCR.

My tagline is Luke 22:36.
And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Luk 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Luk 22:37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
Luk 22:38 And they said, Lord, behold, here [are] two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

Attention Islamic leaders and peace groups: When the percentage of terrorists among Musloims is the same as the percentage of terrorists among Christians, Jews, Bhuddists, etc., we will then worry about what this guy has in his cubicle. Until then, attend to your own house.

Can you also help me with this part ?

Sure.
35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
they lacked nothing because they had faith in him.
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
now that they have things, they should hold on to it, for they will need it. So take your purse and your money, and to defend themselves it is better to not have a cloak and be naked before the elements than to not have a sword and be naked before the aggression of men.
37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
He has a purpose that is in prophecy, and one of the prophecies is that he will be counted among the lawless, and will be arrested soon.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
The two swords are enough to defend the disciples from the soldiers of the priests, robbers, bandits, religious zealots and the like; for Jesus will soon not be with them. One of the swords is used to resist arrest but Jesus would have none of it and said "he who lives by the sword shall surely die by the sword." In accord with his instruction to "render unto Cesar" he will not be lawless, even if counted among the lawless. Also he wished Peter to live and die by HIM, not the sword.

It is a silly thing. Why should we care where they think their soul is going after they die? We should just concentrate our efforts on killing them.
Even Muslims who oppose the terrorists and tyrants, like the voters in Iraq, the demonstrators in Iran, the Kurds, the judges in Egypt, villagers in Afghanistan (who saved one of our SEALs), etc; would be outraged if they thought we were condemning soul's to hell, even those we shoot by accident. "Sorry we killed your 12 year old daughter with a lard laden bullet and sent her to hell, we were aiming at a terrorist" just doesn't go over too well.
