If you click on this web link

The wee arrow points at the house of one of them.

Now - here's a thing - I used to live (till about 2001) where Moorland Road meets Hyde Park Road (middle square on the right). Less than 500 meters away! Imagine that!

I live in the safety of Birmingham city centre now....

So how is the Muslim Community in the USA to be removed?

Just rounding up people who attended terrorism classes under Al Quaeda wont work. Those people brought those classes home with them and taught a thousand more, Every Mosque in Great Britain and the US too for that matter are giving terrorism classes.

I think its comforting that unqualified condemnations are beginning to appear in the Islamic communiries about these lunatic killers claiming they are operating under the aegis of religion.

But non-Muslims in the west must make it equally clear that these rabid fanatics and those who support, defend, conceal or assist them in any way or form will not be tolerated.

Nor should these lunatics be deported. They should be exterminated whenever they are identified and captured. Deporting them merely permits them to continue their deaadly business from another base and spread their contagion among thier coreligionists. Imprisoning them allows them to operate in prisons.

Nice webpage site. Always been interested in vexillology myself. Normally I fly an American flag in front of my house, but since the attacks on our oldest and best ally
( we should have supported Britain in the Napoleonic Wars not fought it in the War of 1812), I have been flying a British Flag and urging other to do so in support of the British people.

My comments referred to the Muslims who have moved to Europe in the last 20 years, as most are not assimilated and their mosques preach murder.

American Muslims are mostly assimilated and not as much a concern, but if suicide bombers staret hitting the NY or DC metros, or going to malls, we should reevaluate.

Thousands of people have been trying to spread the word about Islam for years now. It seems to fall on deaf ears.
How many writers, ex-muslims etc. have been trying to wake people up and warn of this growing global Jihad movement?

Muslim Mullahs openly preach Jihad in mosks, organizations like MEMRI have been translating and publishing their sermons, but western media ignores it all. Our leaders seem to be completely ignorant of what Islam really is. Either that, or they favor it. It's starting to seem that way.

The reason I said that is many American on here are being all smug and patronising. "Those Brits are crazy they should tell those muslims to ..." and YET your President after 9/11 said: "Islam is Peace" Get your own house in order first. :)

LOL, sometimes you have to disregard the generalizations and hyperbole around here. Believe me, many of us are no more delighted to see American political correctness than we are to see it in the UK.

"I think its comforting that unqualified condemnations are beginning to appear in the Islamic communiries about these lunatic killers claiming they are operating under the aegis of religion."

Do you really think that these Lunatics are operating under some twisted form of Islam? Have you even taken the time to understand Islam, what the koran and hadith teach? Islam is what it is, the koran and hadith are the same for every Muslim, regardless of what sec they belong to, Shia, Sunni, wahabbi, etc.

The suttle differences of a few hadith and sura's that they fight amoung themselves over, does not change the overall meaning of the teachings of the koran in regards to us 'infidels' and world domination, terrorism, Muhammad's example.

There are a great many generalisations here. Not because you are stupid but because you make the mistake that many on here do of believing one part of Europe is like another.

It's like having a bad experience in Toronto and saying "I'll never go back to New York".

Many muslims in France are not very assimilated but on the most part British Muslims are. There is a hardcore minority who are lunatics but I can assure you that the vast majority of Muslims in the UK have been genuinely disgusted with the bombings.

There is a lot of work to be done, but a minority of the 1.5 million Muslims in the UK will not beat us.

Is it not ironic though that you can say "American Muslims are mostly assimilated and not as much a concern" and call Britain too lax?

Brit_Guy - I also live and work in Birmingham UK. If you ever want to freep-protest something (like if that git Clinton ever turns up here again, or if the BBC really. really gets on our collective nerves, etc) we might form the nucleus of a placard squad?

I am well aware of the strain of intolerance and violence found in the Haddiths and the Koran. I have posted links to the University of Michigan Website which has a word search on the koran and suggested people plug in "unbeliever", "Jew" and "Christian" to get passages in there about the hatred in that document.

But it also appears that there is a growing element of Muslims who want to bring their religion into the modern world, abandoned old ways and modernize their faith. Whenever they appear, they should be encouraged, not condemned, as they are risking their very lives by taking such a position. WQe need more of them. I wouldn't put CAIR and ximilar groups in such a category. They are terrorist apologists. Check out http://www.freemuslims.com for a view of Islamic moderation.

American Muslims are mostly assimilated..

The "little" cell of Islam moderates, planning to kill us at the mall and destroy mass transit, recently revealed in Lodi, CA, may give us a clue as to the degree of assimilation that the Kuran offers its minions.

"It's like having a bad experience in Toronto and saying "I'll never go back to New York".

LoL! The people are the same, generally leftists with a small smattering of Conservatives/Republicans living in fear among them. (Although NY makes Toronto look like a hick town) The people are very transient between the two places. I'd say Torontonians are more leftist, like those on the left coast. If Toronto isn't the A-hole of the earth, they have a pretty darn good view of it from there.

I think in British English "confront" is more of an activity than a stronger form of rhetoric. American English has watered down the meanings of some words.

When a Brit says they're going to confront something, I accept the fact that they're going to actually lay their hands on the problem and do something. American English doesn't always carry that direct contact implication when using the word confront. All too often American English users use the verb "to confront" when they in fact mean "to hug".

"There are a great many generalisations here. Not because you are stupid but because you make the mistake that many on here do of believing one part of Europe is like another. "

Not really. I'm well aware that ther are dignificant differences in various nations in Europe.

"Many muslims in France are not very assimilated but on the most part British Muslims are. There is a hardcore minority who are lunatics but I can assure you that the vast majority of Muslims in the UK have been genuinely disgusted with the bombings."

Is this a generalization in itself? I have never been to Europe personally, but I have read editorialists who state that Muslims in Britain have been nlobbying against centuries old pubs because they sell liquor, Islamic leaders who stage rallies in support of Bin Laddin, Islamic women moving about in burquas, etc. How much this reflects the thinking or behavior of most Muslims in Britain, I simply don't know and doubt if anyone else does either.

But clearly being merely "disgusted" about the behavior of their coreligionists is inadequate. They must translate that "disgust" into active condemnations and assistance whenever possible to the authorities about suspected luanitcs in their midst. They must also make a vigorous effort to Anglicize themselves and abandon some of their more offensive non-western practises. They are in western Europe and should abide by customs there or leave.

As for Muslims in America, I would be the last person in the world to state they are more assimilated than Muslims in any other part of the western world. From what I have seen and read, I doubt it.

The 5th column, wherever they live. Not all of course, but far too many for comfort. It's part of their Islamic credo. Islam first.
