Tancredo to request al-Qaida nuke briefing Congressman to ask Justice Department for report on 'American Hiroshima' plan

WASHINGTON – Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., a staunch critic of the federal government's lax immigration and border enforcement policies, said yesterday he would request a briefing from the Justice Department on information it has on plans revealed by WND this week for a nuclear attack on the U.S. by al-Qaida terrorists.

Rep. Tom Tancredo

Tancredo said he was greatly alarmed by the report and would seek whatever information he could get from the nation's law enforcement authorities – either in classified or unclassified reports.

Al-Qaida's plans, known as "America's Hiroshima" according to captured terrorists and terrorist documents, calls for the multiple detonation of nuclear weapons, already in the possession of Osama bin Laden's operatives currently inside the U.S. The agents and arms having been smuggled across the U.S.-Mexico border with the help of the MS-13 street gang and other organized crime groups, according to the report originating in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, a premium, online intelligence newsletter published by the founder of WND.

I don't know how much clout Tancredo has, but if there is a large, critical security risk to the US I'm sure their not gonna let it outta the bag.

"If they had nukes they would have already used them"

Have you not heard of the patience, planning, recruitment and execution demonstrated in London last week. They are not 16 year old Suzie rotten crotch waiting to pounce on the first guy to come around, unable to control their urges. They are Calculating and deliberate and use events for max psychological effect. Hence the use of domestic arabic british boys to do suicide bombings instead of 1st generation immigrants or visitors.

They are capable of planning AND coordinating. They are not impatient as events of the last few years have demonstrated.

If you really want my opinion, the London bombing was an utter failure. That's not to say those that lost their lives, should have their lives minimized, quite the contrary.

a failure? How so? I see it as quite un-nerving. Especially if the 4th bomber is caucasion. No one can now be sure of anyone now...citizenship has been drawn into more question and begins to mean little. No longer one nation united as in ww2, but watching out cuz your neighbor could be one of 'them'.

That's my take anyway....

Who gives a rip where they were born? I sure don't. It just goes to show that we're not fighting your stereotypical turban-wearing, bearded, olive skinned, Islamofascist. If they wanted maximum impact, why in the hell were they trying to copy yet another terrorist failure that goes by the name Hamas?

He sees this as an opening to scream, yet again, about illegals and the droolers here are falling for it.

Are you in support of illegal immigration, or are you opposed to illegal immigration?

So the bombing by McVeigh didn't evoke different emotions inside you with respect to the trade center cowards?

I suppose one could equate it to Hamas in Israel, except Israel is in the heart of arab-ville, and it isn't the Israelues bombing their own citizens.

Interesting story. Sounds like the events of Revelation get transfered to the New World. (off to google!)

It didn't evoke any kind of emotion beyond rage and anger that some pinhead would actually do such a thing.

I don't go around with a tinfoil hat snug on my head everyday, believing in boogey-men, and black helicopters. I guess I'm not gullible, stupid and insane as some are.

let me know what you find. Saw that onne guy's site was caulking it up to a hoax, but he also claimed Washington wasn't spiritual. I've heard that was not the case....that Washington was in fact a Christian. Never been to the LoC so I haven't looked it up, but it has been widely posted here before.

From an article found on Google. Another article mentions this stroy was first in a newspaper in the 1850's (with obvious discord in the Union brewing).

Here's part of the article:

In the National Tribune, 1880, an article appeared giving an account of the "Vision of Washington" at Valley Forge. The account was told by a gentleman named Anthony Sherman, who supposedly was at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-78. The story has been published several times.

Some people will say that it is substantiated by the fact that a copy of the account is in the Library of Congress. This argument of authenticity is misleading in and of itself. The Library of Congress has copies of anything published. That does not indicate accuracy of the content.

I am unaware of any eighteenth-century evidence that corroborates this story. The soldier mentioned as having a first-hand account of the "Vision," Anthony Sherman, was a soldier in the Continental Army. However, according to his pension application, written by him, he states that he was at Saratoga under the command of Benedict Arnold at the end of 1777 and only joined the main forces in 1778 in New Jersey just before the Battle of Monmouth.

I am OPPOSED to illegal immigration and I am also opposed to attention seeking, Johnny one noters, who are looking to make a names for themselves by trashing the president and fooling his sycophants and acolytes with hyperbolic grandstanding.

well, black helicopters do exist. so do nuclear weapons (tactical nuks in large quantities relatively speaking). There have been, and are, people trained in their maintenance. There are terrorists on the loose. We do have a long mexico border that many people sneak across every day.

Good night.

I have to believe that somebody in the global powers that be, must have something on him.

A blind man can see the borders are beyond a disaster.
And a patriot act, won't do a thing, to stop the external enemies that have or are continueing to invade us.

Maybe he has been told if we close our borders, we will have our oil shut off.
