All this tells me is that ROVE did violate the law, didn't follow procedures and there is a "cover up" underway. Guess I'll be branded a lurker or what ever, but I am an arch Conservative and there isn't one law for some and another law for the politically connected. JMO

Does being an arch conservative mean you didn't read the article? Just askin'.

You better pull your head out of where you've placed it.

If what you read tells you Rove broke the law, you're not an "arch" conservative--you're a liberal.

All this tells me is that ROVE did violate the law. . .

I don't follow. The editorial lists the criteria for prosecution under the law and presents a good argument that none of the criteria were met in this case.

K - take this bit of info back to DU: At the time of her "outing," Plame hadn't been a confidential agent in NINE YEARS. She was just another analyst hanging out at Headquarters.

She also was mentioned on Joe Wilson's website and in his "Who's Who" entry, and was well-known on the cocktail party circuit.

Not exactly Ms. Mysterious.

Guess I'll be branded a lurker or what ever, but I am an arch Conservative and there isn't one law for some and another law for the politically connected.

No, you'll be branded as misinformed.

I'll state it as simply as I can: No...law...was...broken. Not by Karl Rove, at any rate.

What you will be branded is somebody who is ignorant of the FACTS in this case.

What law did he break?

No, you're a TROLL and a rather STUPID one, at that.

Rove broke no law. He didn't "out" Plame. She had already been OUTTED, by A damned double agent spy, a decade+ ago and hasn't been a covert operative in more than ten years. The law, that Rove is supposed to have broken, is aboutCOVESRT OPERATIVES IN THE FIELD AND THOSE WHO WERE ONE, FIVE YEARS AGO. Neither of these qualifications haves been met by Plame and besides, Rove didn't names her.

There is NO "cover-up" at all, Rove violate NO law, followed procedure TO THE LETTER, and your Conservative credentials, as well as your knowledge, are GREATLY in question!

Welcome to FR.

You have plenty of company in the "I have no idea what I'm talking about" department. Pull up a seat and rest your brain.

You already branded yourself.....as A.B.Normal.

And I'm not flaming, I simply don't understand how anyone could reach your conclusions. I'm so damn glad to find out that behind the scenes, Rove is defending this administration. One of my terminal gripes has been how Republicans never mastered the art of instant response to the outrageous accusations of the left. Republicans have let lies and spin go unanswered, they allowed oft-repeated half-truths and distortions to become so familiar, people started believing them. Like "Republicans are racists". Republicans starve babies, kill old folks, poison the air and water".

You so SO right! Aren't you glad to learn, then, that of course no Bush supporting Republican has been shown to have broken any laws? They are in fact the victims of a rogue element at CIA and State to bring down a sitting President during time of war.

I look forward to you bringing your passionate sense of justice to the correct set of facts and demanding accountability for the real scoundrels:

Joe Wilson and his wife, in addition to a deceitful media and dems.
