Sen. McCain [R-AZ] Strong Words On Supreme Ct Nomination at Dallas Fundraiser: 'During the campaign, President Bush said he will appoint judges who will strictly interpret the constitution... thinking anything else is either amnesia or ignorance... elections have consequences... whomever he nominates deserves an up or down vote and no filibuster... and an up or down vote is what we will have'...
Remember this was GWs pick - to maintain civility in Congress. Now the joke is on this president who thinks Islam is a religion of peace & the illegals are just here to earn a decent living. (to think some people wanted him on MT Rushmore)
By holding out then, they get to play the saviors now. Pretty deft poliical move, if you ask me.
DON'T EVER TRUST MCCAIN,EVER......
MCCAIN IS A L.A.D.
Sen. McCain [R-AZ] Strong Words ...
-------
That's all they are, words.
McCain is trying to bolster the ratings of his new R rated movie.
Who is this guy and what did he do with John McCain.
I want whatever mccain is smoking. This is a change of heart from the 14 middle of the road nimbots. Like they say in Texas the only thing in the middle of the road are yellow striped lines and dead armadillos. If McCain finally got principles, something is sure the heck up!
QQ: looking around for Scrappleface....nope....drudgereport...ok....MC Cain isn't any better than Chucky Cheese!!!
He knows Gonzales is one of the nominees. Once he "fights" for Gonzales, it'll give him plenty of cover to torpedo anyone else who is nominated afterwards.
Gonzales won't be in this fight. Bush already knew a nomination to the SCOTUS was in the works prior to Gonzales appointment. Why would he have placed Gonzales prior to the Supreme Court nominee? Doesn't make sense. He has plans. And then there are two.
How come my beeber didn't notify me of this?
A.A.C.
McCain is a very narcissistic man. His words stem from the fantasy that he will be president some day and will get to nominate a Supreme. In his sick and twisted mind he thinks that if he is strong here the party will forget his betrayal and support him in 08 and also support any of his nominees. Since McCain is not a conservative, what other reason could there be for him to support a conservative appointment?
I do not think that is fair. McCain did campaign for President Bush. The gripe was that he would not criticize Kerry. That is why he is McCain and hard to take and would not be able to be nominated himself. But he was not "on the fence".
He said this in Texas which is one of the redest states in the country. I wonder if he would say the same thing in New York?
I calls 'em like I see 'em.
are you suggesting he play a game of solitare?
LOL! Wouldn't hurt to test him, would it? :)
