I don't think you need to use any html for a hyperlink. Simply type it out and it becomes blue on the other side so to speak.
hope that works for you. (It should)
PUH-lease. FOX isn't perfect, but you'd call OLLIE NORTH a Neo-con? or COL David Hunt? There are more true blue American patriots on that network than on all the others combined, worldwide. Get a grip on reality! OTOH, maybe you can give me a television news outlet that is better? Love to check it out! I'm always open to new possibilities.
Definitely squirrels. They cause a lot more trouble.
I don't have time to look back through yesterday's posts. Was it you who mentioned that Zawahiri's fingers are in the 2:00 position? I found that to be an interesting observation so I did a bit of research on it and found that it is the symbol for the crescent moon. Anyone have a calendar handy or know when the next crescent moon appears?
I checked this earlier in the week.
Hold on to your hat
Crescent moon is due tomorrow 8/6.
I'm much more concerned with the Hiroshima and Nagasaki anniversaries starting tomorrow! I'm not as worried about our troops, except to say I wish I was with them. They're the best trained, best equipped and most highly motivated troops in the world. But I worry about home soil.
Of course, it would be tomorrow, the date we've been speculating about
Well, I'm stuck in a high value target (Miami, Florida) but I take extreme comfort that due to the wedding of my nephew in IDAHO, tomorrow, all the rest of my family from other high value targets like Boston or Virginia (DC) will be out of harms way. Thank God. But we're making a final trip to the store today to top off our hurricane supplies and we'll be staying home this weekend.
General says no headway made in search for bin Laden
http://www.capitalnews9.com/content/headlines/?ArID=143330&SecID=33
A top US general in Afghanistan said there is little new in the search for Osama bin Laden.
General James Champion told reporters in a teleconference there's nothing new about the al-Qaida leader's whereabouts "from 90 days ago."
Champion is the deputy commanding general for operations and intelligence for Combined Joint Task Force 76 in Afghanistan. Bin Laden is believed to be hiding out in the mountainous region on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Champion's comment came a few hours after al-Qaida's number two man issued a new threat to both the US and Britain. In a videotape broadcast on the Arab TV channel Al-Jazeera, Ayman al-Zawahri threatened more destruction in London. The tape comes four weeks after the deadly London subway and bus bombings.
He also threatened the US with tens of thousands of troop deaths if it doesn't pull out of Iraq.
Now, that's funny!
I'm not going to like being away from the news tomorrow. Not at all. But I'm not going to let these vermin change my plans.
Glad you're topping off your supplies Ex. I'll be taking some extra weapons and ammo in case I can't get home tomorrow night. The cabin is my safe zone so it's the best place to be IF anything should happen.
These are excerpts from Farah's Bulleting (pay). Someone passed it along to me, and there were a few points worth sharing. (I still feel like information that could possibly help the masses should be free..)

Al-Qaida's 'final' warning
Something different about al-Zawahiri's videotape message
© 2005 G2 Bulletin
Publishing date: 04.08.2005 20:48
There was something different about al-Qaida's videotape communique delivered by Osama bin Laden's No. 2 man, Ayman al-Zawahiri, say intelligence analysts and terrorism experts.
"What you have seen in New York, Washington and Afghanistan, are only the initial losses," he said, referring to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States for which al Qaeda claimed responsibility. "If you continue the same hostile policies you will see something that will make you forget the horrors you have seen in Vietnam."
Though it is not unusual for al-Qaida statements to suggest attacks more fearsome than 9-11 are coming, the reference to Vietnam suggests bin Laden and al-Zawahiri believe they can either wear down the U.S. in a protracted conflict in Iraq or demoralize the U.S. public with a continuing barrage of terrorist attacks.
But the next sentence contained a word, omitted in some Western translations of the speech, not seen or heard in previous al-Qaida messages.
"Our message to you is clear, strong and final: There will be no salvation until you withdraw from our land, stop stealing our oil and resources and end support for infidel, corrupt (Arab) rulers," he said.
The word "final" was the word that jumped out for intelligence analysts and terrorism experts contacted by G2B.
...
"There is no way out for Washington except by immediate withdrawal," said al-Zawahiri. "Any delay in this decision means more killing and losses. If you don't withdraw today you will inevitably withdraw tomorrow, but only after tens of thousands are killed and injured."
The words "immediate," "any delay" and "today" stand out to intelligence analysts as suggesting an imminent attack of grand proportions.
The tough rhetoric from bin Laden's right-hand man is raising more concerns about the possibility of an attack involving weapons of mass destruction the attack referred to by so many U.S. officials, including President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney as inevitable.
...
**Cut remaining half of story, in referrence to how al Qaida may have received nuclear material.**
If you don't withdraw today you will inevitably withdraw tomorrow, but only after tens of thousands are killed and injured."

Public's help needed in finding radioactive device
MISSING GAUGE
A state agency has asked for the public's help in recovering a radioactive gauge that's missing from a Charlotte-area construction site. The gauge, used to measure the density and moisture of soil and asphalt, was lost Wednesday at a Wal-Mart construction site near U.S. 74 and Indian Trail Road in western Union County, said the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The Troxler Model 3450 is a yellow box measuring 24 by 9 inches, with a stainless steel handle 16 inches tall protruding from its top and radioactive caution labels. Its owner, Geosciences Group Inc., has offered a reward for its return.
The radioactive cesium and americium sealed inside could be hazardous if the device is mishandled or broken open. A person standing one foot from the unsealed material for three hours would get about as much radiation as a chest X-ray, officials said.
Anyone who finds the device should not touch it, stay at least 15 feet away and call Geoscience Group's Carl Huntsberger at (704) 525-2003, the N.C. Radiation Protection Section at (919) 571-4141 or 911. -- BRUCE HENDERSON

Hmm, this is interesting... perhaps the black turban is not a signal for 'victory,' but a signal that he is mourning the death of King Fahd. Honestly, that seems a bit hopefull though... considering al Qaida's views of the royal family.
Well, after that tidbit about the crescent moon, ,I'm off to the store to stock up on canned stuff and dog food.
I'll just hide it in the basement.
No need to have anyone get alarmed in case nothing happens.
No point in starving if this turns out to be something.
I'd really hate myself if I heard all this and took no precautions.
Besides, it IS hurricane season.

"We are talking about salt-and-pepper shaker-sized canisters -- about 50 to 60 of them," Gunzelman said.
None of the canisters were leaking, but county hazardous materials officials called the state Department of Environmental Protection after finding the unidentified chemicals and when radioactivity was detected by a meter, Gunzelman said.
