The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Threat Matrix - Daily Terrorism Threat
Threat Matrix: U.S. Terrorism
Terrorists could be just getting started
Full Story

New York City and Washington. Bali, Indonesia; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Istanbul, Turkey; Madrid, Spain. And now London.

When will it end? Where will it all lead?

The experts aren't encouraged. One terrorism researcher sees the prospect of "endless" war. Adds the man who tracked Osama bin Laden for the CIA, "I don't think it's even started yet."

Cool, sounds good. I am thinking of changing the whole layout (maybe for thread 30?). I also wanted to make it one thread a month, so we could figure out where things were easier, but never got any feedback on that. I'm not so good with image stuff, so I would be thrilled if you would help out. I will freepmail you about it at some point, but would like to ditch the big square image in the upper left (that's not currently showing up because I should have switched it to my server. ;-) ).

Anyone ever ponder that their very names could be codes?

Yes, I do.

Earlier today, there was a post either #4141 or 4144, that
had the name Chaudry, part of a woman scientists name.

Vel, do you recall me asking about it, you had sent me a translation that Neosgirl had done, it had the word alarm
spelled two or three ways, that I had googled.

There was also a word like chaudry, for some reason, I wanted it to mean something.

I get doctors and actresses here.

http://www.google.com/search?client=googlet&q=Chaudry

Google suggests another spelling, and #8 on the list, could make the bomb casing that I found the plans for (I think), has docs to, but also other and more interesting leads.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&client=googlet&q=Chaudhry&spell=1

No, I will not share my tinfoil with you.....LOL

Your gun search is enough to make one nervous.

Badges, cars and guns.

Denver has had a shooting tonight, possibly gang, shot 2 young men. Get-away car was a silver Cadillac. Shot men were teens, the news has just said one is dead and that the shots were fired from the car.

That is the second shooting from a Cadillac that I have heard in the last day or so, not sure which station that I heard the white Cadillac on, might have been Las Vegas.

SUV's must be out of style this year.

LOL

Why aren't you googling?

No, I listened to Mark Edwards and a New York retired Border Patrol, on KDWN. They also talked of it.

Mark is at: wake up America Foundation.com, there is a button there to listen on the computer, 10 pm to midnight.

For anyone going to Vegas tomorrow, Tuesday, there is a
Wake up America meeting in the evening, at Cashman Field, I think.

Check the website for info on the meeting, I understand the head of the Minutemen will be the speaker.

It will draw people from all over the West, several have
phoned and said they will be there.

I don't believe they have 40+ nukes, but I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to get their hands on a few.

At this point I would be very surprised if they had a few, because not only would they be being sought by us but also now by those who thought it such a great idea to supply them with any.

We made it very clear on several occasions exactly what our response would be on those using nukes, bio or chem weapons against us and made it very clear that our response would definitely include the supplier.

Any supplier would also be desperately looking for them also.

Dr. Bill has talked about the possibility of the 40 nukes, he said (as I recall), that if they were trained people and had the knowledge to maintain them, they could be maintained.

He did not feel they would work, if just hidden in the barn.

No, I can't repeat all he says, it is way over my head.

He does think that they will set off a nuke in the next
5 years and expects it to be less.

Dr. Bill has spent about 50 years designing the weapons we are using today and is still doing so.

There is better info on his web page at KGO radio site, he also has given papers to the: pushback.com site.

My own opinion, is that there were hundreds of Pakistan scientists that left Pakistan and thousands that left Russia, so it would not surprise me that they were able to hire a scientist to keep a nuclear bomb in working order or to build them another one.

Left, right: Iran and Venezuela in lockstep
atimes.com:

Among the world leaders felicitating Iran's president-elect, Mahmud Ahmadinejad, one head of state conspicuously set aside protocol norms - President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. Though Ahmadinejad will only be formally sworn in on August 4 - and a congratulatory message through diplomatic channels at this stage was all that was required - Chavez telephoned Ahmadinejad.
Chavez was being deliberate in making an extraordinary gesture of warmth and camaraderie. He wished to personally convey to Ahmadinejad that the latter's election had enhanced the "legitimacy" of Iran internationally, a country that Venezuela would regard as a "friend and brotherly nation" on the world stage. He said he would depute a high-level delegation from Caracas to visit Tehran specially to be present at Ahmadinejad's swearing-in ceremony, and that he would visit Tehran in the near future, aiming at a "comprehensive expansion" of cooperation between the two countries.

"Al-Zarqawi clashes with mentor over suicide attacks"
Sydney Morning Hearld ^ | July 12, 2005 | Reuters

Posted on 07/12/2005 1:24:44 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Iraq's al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi reproached his spiritual mentor for criticising suicide attacks in Iraq, saying this only weakened the jihad, according to an internet statement attributed to him on Monday.

Issam Baraqi, better known as Sheik Abu Mohammad al-Maqdisi, last week told Al-Jazeera television that random suicide bombings in Iraq were not valid and that it was wrong to "declare Shiites infidels or make them equal to Jews or Christians".

Al Qaeda Organisation for Holy War in Iraq, led by Zarqawi, has carried out some of the deadliest attacks against US forces, the Iraqi Government and forces and Shiite Muslims.

"This [criticism] does not harm me as much as it harms this jihad ... the blessings of which are apparent to anyone who has eyes," said the statement apparently signed by Zarqawi.

"Do not follow in the devil's footsteps or you shall perish, and beware, our virtuous sheik, from the cunning of God's enemies and from being lured into dividing the mujahideen [holy fighters]," said the statement posted on an Islamist website.

Zarqawi said he shared some of Maqdisi's beliefs but did not "follow him blindly". The Sunni Muslim militant has in the past defended the killing of innocent Muslims in suicide bombings, saying it was permitted by Islam for the sake of jihad."

"Lebanese Politician Killed in Bomb Blast"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "BEIRUT, Lebanon — A powerful explosion hit the motorcade of Lebanon's (search) outgoing deputy prime minister Tuesday, wounding him and causing other casualties in the latest in a string of bombings targeting politicians and other figures, police said.

Elias Murr (search), an ally of Syria (search) who is also the outgoing defense minister, was slightly wounded in the blast, said one police officer at the scene. The officer would not give details on the other casualties, and police threw a cordon over the area, keeping bystanders and journalists away."
