"A Massive Economic Development Boom" That's what legalizing undocumented immigrants would unleash
business week ^ | 7-18-05

----SNIP----

Q: How is the undocumented immigrant community affecting the U.S. economy? A: First and foremost, it's a source of value added. The total goods and services that they consume through their paycheck, plus all that they produce for their employers, is close to about $800 billion.

They're also producing at relatively lower costs because the undocumented population typically gets about 20% less in wages than if they were legalized. That leads to lower prices for us and higher profits to employers.

In addition, they're obviously a huge consumer base. We've seen that 90% of the wages that the undocumented population gets are spent inside the U.S. Remittances are sent abroad, but that only represents about 10% of immigrants' income. The numbers are becoming quite huge. We estimate about $50 billion dollars in remittances this year. That means that total consumptive capacity remaining in the U.S. is $400 billion to $450 billion.

"Those 12 items just about describe *everyone*"

No. Just about everyone under your Anti unbrella.

The list doesn't include Republicans, conservatives, businessmen, Christians, pro-family people, pro-economic growth people, pro-Iraqi war, pro-Bush, pro-trade, pro-Walmart, pro-education, pro 14th Amendment; pro-Rove, pro-DHS, pro-states rights, pro-personal freedom, pro-home ownership; pro-Made in America, pro-local initiative; pro-winning elections, etc...

The Antis are a depressing group of people. They have nothing positive to offer, just pessimism and defeatism, envy and jealously, sour grapes and hatred, threats and revenge, doom and glume; violence and punishments, etc...

The Antis take pride in their candidate losing elections because to them that proves he didn't sell out or compromise his principles. But a good loser is still a loser.

There was a time not too long ago 'rod was referring to whites as 'anglos'. Now, the only folks I know who use that term have more in common with, say, cruz bustamonte than tom tancredo, if you know what I mean.

But if my city decides that the illegals are not a problem and that the businesses are crucial to our economy then we should be allowed to ignore them.

Wrong! Because the criminal invaders cross through my backyard, steal my cars, pollute my neighborhood, cut my fences, crowd my emergency rooms, beat up my neighbors, kill my cattle, etc. on the way to your damned rewarding-the-lawbreaker city. Your city would then be attracting a criminal element and all cities between your city and the border have to suffer. All cities near your city suffer too because the criminal invaders won't stay only in your city.

Why are you so damned determined to reward lawbreakers and coddle criminals? Do you harbor prostitutes in your home? Do you trip policemen who are chasing purse snatchers? Do you hand out stocking masks to people on their way in to rob a liquor store or a bank?

What motivates you to be so anti-business?

What motivates you to be so pro-criminal? What motivates you to be so anti-sovereignty? What motivates you to be so anti-American-worker? What motivates you to be so anti-American culture? What motivates you to be so pro-invasion? What motivates you to be so anti-border? What motivates you to be so anti-law and order?

Why would you risk destroying the American economy? Something isn't right.

Why would you risk destroying our national borders? Why would you risk destroying border towns and cities? Why would you risk destroying our common language? Why would you risk destroying our culture? Why would you risk destroying our laws? Why would you risk destroying our sovereignty? Why would you risk destroying American jobs for American workers? Why would you risk destroying our national security in a time of war?

Something isn't right.

Your posts reflect on all the other members on ping lists with you.

Much like your fellow quisling Dane does when he calls people "dorkhead" like he did today.

Another unworkable solution by an anti-illegal.

More definition on what you mean by "anti". So, if we're "anti-illegal", then you're "pro-illegal".

You know, one of the rules here on Free Republic is that promoting illegal acts is prohibited. And that's what you do here day after day. One would think that the rule would apply to you and that you would be asked to cease such behavior. Illegal acts? Like violating our border, working illegally, or illegally hiring a criminal invader. Yes, those are illegal acts and you're promoting them.

Facinating, and I do know what you mean.

Still, I've this lousy feeling ol' rod's the "face" of the *new* Republican Party just the same and they'll get their way, in the end.

Thing is if I were to do as 'ol' rod advocates -- & I *do* own a business -- & hire illegals, underpay 'em -- and as a result run 'em into the ground -- while I enriched myself?
If they weren't "Marxist" when they got here they sure would be after the "Republicans, conservatives, businessmen, Christians, pro-family people, pro-economic growth people, pro-Iraqi war, pro-Bush, pro-trade, pro-Walmart, pro-education, pro 14th Amendment; pro-Rove, pro-DHS, pro-states rights, pro-personal freedom, pro-home ownership; pro-Made in America, pro-local initiative; pro-winning elections, etc..." crowd got finished with 'em.

Y'know skeeter?

...it seems so simple.

"Dorkhead"? That calls for a "I know you are, but what am I?" response. I mean, if you're gonna play with the big kids...

You mean, like Nazis? So now Nazis are "pro-personal freedom"? Further proof that you don't mean any of this seriously and are just trying to get a rise. Hey, I'll admit I'm spending about 40 seconds of my time typing at you, but as for getting angry, that would be really silly.

The Antis' favorite phrase is "papers please."

The Pro-Criminal Invader's favorite phrases are "Gringos out of Norte America!" and "Viva la Raza!" and "Thank you El Presidente Fox for your kind cash contributions. I hope you appreciate all the work I'm doing for you within the Republican Party."

If I lived next to a freeway and didn't like the noise and pollution I'd move, not demand that the freeway be closed.

The Secretary of Homeland Security has said that the border can not be secured until Congress enacts the immigration reforms. Why don't you get behind him and urge your Congressman and Senators to take his advice? Anything else is a waste of time

You're just repeating a bunch of immigration myths that have shown to be false.

Can you show me one study or proposal that shows that the border can be sealed? And don't waste everyone's time by claiming that the minutemen did it. They did nothing except flap their gums.

Until you can show a feasible way to seal the borders all your complaints are just useless bitching.
