Approximately 2 PM EST, the building that houses several companies on Oak Tree Blvd, opened a suspicious package, several people are ill and have received medical treatment. On of the companies is Clear Channel Radio, Cleveland's WTAM broadcasts there, and currentely are not available to stream their broadcasts. (They are streaming FOX sports.)
Anyone in the Northern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania/Southern Michigan area can receive the live broadcast on WTAM 1100 AM with Mike Trivasonno and his staff, they are broadcasting from a temporary studio set up in the parking lot.
There are no commercials, sports, traffic reports due to the building being evacuated.
Crap! And FR's running weird as well.
Hope it's nothing major.
Pinging !
NOVASTAR is the company that received the two packages, employees are not allowed to comment at this point in time.
Have we learned nothing?
Not report suspicious packages to the authorities... BRILLIANT!
Packages came via UPS.
Mail room is becoming a somewhat risky place to work...
I believe they said a mortgage company.
Someone didn't like a program?
Keep us posted.
opened a suspicious package, several people are ill and have received medical treatment.Might be something as simple as Trivisonno having dinner delivered. :o

What made them suspicious? The way the article is worded, it sounds like they knew they were hokey and opened them anyway.
I doubt that was the case.
I know it's inappropriate, but ever time I hear "suspicious package" discovered, I think of Algore on a magazine cover somewhere...
:)
Seriously, I hope and pray this turns out okay.
Listening to Travisonno right now and he has the most annoying Cleveland accent there is.
No wonder I don't listen to WTAM ususally.
"...the building that houses several companies on Oak Tree Blvd, opened a suspicious package..."
Must be one of them smart buildings!
Thanks for the post from the news - grammar and spelling be damned! Hope these folks will be okay and it's not too serious. And hope it's just a supply of cleaners or chemicals that got broken during shipping or something.
What was reported is that employees became ill after package was opened.
Two daycare centers are located in the building, the children were moved to a different location .
Novastar is a mortgage lender and this particular office is the wholesale division (that does loans through mortgage brokers). The package was simply an application from a broker, nothing that would normally be suspicious.
I know several people that work there.
I pick up the mail for our office. I got a really weird package a few months ago, and we ended up calling Field Protective Service on it because everyone who saw how it was addressed thought it was hokey.
I literally put it out in the stairwell until FPS could come look at it. Turns out it wasn't hokey at all, just sent by someone who was completely illiterate. Had us all going.
