caller to Hispanic talk radio: "I get so mad it makes me want to become a terrorist"
KMXE AM 830 Los Angeles ^

Highlights of Juancarlos Ortiz's program on Friday:

A caller named Milton called in to express his anger about the media coverage of the London bombings. He said the US press casts such a sorrowful light (including music which is meant to convey sadness) on the deaths, while the victims of the war in Iraq do not receive the same treatment. Milton said that there have been 60 Iraqi deaths for each American death, and it makes him so angry that it makes him want to become a terrorist himself, so that the American people could feel what the Iraqis are feeling. Juan Carlos, rather than taking him to task for his comment, was very understanding as he thanked Milton for his comment.

"...there have been 60 Iraqi deaths for each American death"

I think that is called, warfare. Nasty business and the primary reason you don't start a war you can't handle.

I will agree that the death of civilian (non-combatants) is very sad indeed. Many innocent and men, women and children have died in Iraq during this war no doubt, and it is absolutely horrible. Key question though, in the end is it worth the price paid to lose some civilian lives in the short run for the chance to live in freedom in country whose leader is not slaughtering innocent people over the long run?

IF this caller is so upset about Iraqi deaths, then perhaps he should go to fight AGAINST the terrorists
Isn't logic-- and its close relative "common sense"-- grand!!

Yes it's a bad thing because the Iraqi deaths now are mostly at the hands of the terrorists.

OK, I thought that the number of deaths referred to Iraqi terrorists.
