Yesterday, when this site was down, I realized just how important this site is to me. Been lurking here for years and this morning I registered and donated. This site is the best, and I don't want to be without it!

Did you find the Yahoo Group, Free Republic 2? It's the place to find out what's happening. If FR goes down, Jim or John Robinson will post status there.
I have suggested to Jim before that he take the site down to drive home the point for some who need it. He just laughed it off;
Of course there are some nutters who think that is what he did do. Whatever, I believe a light might have clicked on for some.

Yes !!! I was in heavy withdrawal not being able to log on to FR all day,
Do you know what time FR resumed operation? I can do without eating for a day but deprive me of these great People here on FR is just a little too much
