Uh... a hurricane can't make landfall in central or north texas, but I guess I know what you mean. That's usually called the upper or mid Texas coast, just a friendly FYI.

Now, Central (Austin and Waco) and North (Dallas, Lubbock)Texas can certainly take a drubbin' after it's done with Corpus and Houston over to Beaumont and Lake Charles, La.
