In talking to folks in the office today, they'd all vote for a Cat 3 to hit Texas.
Of course, not one of them had been through a headon Cat 1.
As long as they can put a snappy graphic to it, they'll milk it.
"Hey Rob, let's talk politics. Who did you vote for in the last Presidential election?"
lol...I support Bush.
Ok--good start. What state do you live in--and who do you support for CJ of the USSC?
You were lucky!
Mine went up 20% and cut the benefits.
20% off every claim as well as increased deductible to 20% and no more replacement cost...just value at time of loss...figure that out!!!
Now I am paying $2,800 per year for almost nothing!
To top it all off I have to pay it again and I have no roof OR $ from last years storm.
NATIONWIDE IS NOT ON MY SIDE!
Shoot, I couldn't even answer that one... and I have a degree in Political Science. ;)
You don't know what state you live in? ;o)
I know it's a blue one. :<
red town though. :)
yes--most of the New England states have that dubious distinction.
I will say election day was hilarious... so much disappointment around campus. :D
I am on the east coast and have had to almost do the same thing. It is just too difficult to "feel" so much.
Do you know people whose health has suffered over the past year and the reconstruction since those storms?
I sure do!
Did you get much rain or damage? My brother, the minister, was ticked because it was raining bad on a Sunday. The only thing I heard from my son on Stock Island was "I'm alive. I'm going to bed, talk to you later. I love you. Bye." Nothing since.
Looks like Emily is going to come up the east coast. We have had so much rain from Cindy and Dennis that I feel waterlogged and can't take a diuretic for it!!!!!!!
It's Lamb. Now you know the origin of my FR name.
It's okay. I'm feeling wimpy right now. I have bronchitis and feel terrible. I have a doctor's appointment at 11:00am tomorrow.
All is well here. It was a long weekend.
No need to worry about Emily yet. Long
way off.
I was at my insurance mans office today. He told me I already had all the coverage that anyone will give me.
I told my brother today that I have had it and am considering moving. LOL, he told me he had already sent off a resume to a company in Dallas that had earlier expressed an interest in hiring him.
Think about it. What do you take with you when you are told your house will probably be destroyed in 24 hours, twice in one years time. I still have crap all over my yard from TS Cindy.
Ivan, Arlene, Cindy and Dennis. Enough!
Thanks. They must be using a soup magnet. <>
Lol, ever since Hugo, hurricane season causes me worry! I've got to get my "emergency supplies" up dated. Not that I haven't had time, it's just that I've been lazy this year about making sure that I have flashlights and batteries and now I have to make sure that I have water and dogfood and puppy pads. Once I get the Spam purchased along with the Deviled Ham and canned fruit and etc. I know that no hurricane is going to hit Charleston (just a little superstitious)!!!!!!!!
