Musgrave had a message for anybody thinking about breaking into somebody's home. "Yeah, don't pick the wrong door," Musgrave said.

The 79-year-old guy handles the recoil of a .357. Wonder if the perps handled the exit wounds as well?

Yeah, don't pick the wrong doorYep, good advice. Even better, get a job and stop trying to take someone elses property.

I don't wanna hear anything here about more range time. I hear ya. The folks who usually chime in with that comment rarely take adrenaline and moving targets into consideration.

Ahh, an old man and his 357. I've always been a sucker for feel-good stories with a happy ending.

I would only suggest one thing. Hollow points. If he had used hollow point bullets, I don't think the two would have fared as well. When I was in the USAF in Montana in the 70's, my buddy fired his 357 magnum with a regular load and a hollow point into a tree. BIG difference.

Add me to the list please :)

I just hope they don't arrest him, like they did that guy in Illinois near Chicago.

In Kentucky he gets the Cool Old Man Award. No one will arrest him.

(79)+(.357)=(-2)
I like this math.

Well, nothing in the news account tells us what type of round was employed, just the type of weapon.
It could have very well been hollow points, just not placed in the 10-ring. Hell, they could have been .38 Special SWC's, for that matter.
We'll never know because the media really doesn't like to, no, hates to report in full, stories where the good guy was in the right and the bad guys got theirs.
