We're in Folkestone, pretty much next door to the Channel Tunnel, in fact it goes pretty much underneath me. I remember where I was on 9/11, and the contempt and hatred that I had that day. Fast Forward three and a half years and that hatred had not dissipated, in those years I had matured a lot quicker than most people my age would, I'm very much political, and although my views are more liberal than a lot of yours, particularly on social and economical issues, I feel that I can talk in depth with most of you, in a way that I can't talk with my contempories, I have no time for Galloway, although I come from the left of the political spectrum, I find he is as much of a problem as the terrorists are, and I know I shouldn't say this being an lefty-radical, but Bush has done 10 times more to help Africa than Clinton ever could or wanted to.
Just take care of yourself, Bob...we care about our friends. Political discourse is just that, politics. This is life and death...so stay safe.
Although I disagreed with them on some issue when it came to national security the differences ended.
Such a mixture of anger and sorrow as I have never had before, and it is still with me full strength.
As an aside, I had a flight scheduled for the 13th. My wife was VERY concerned. I noted that we were safer on the 12th than we were on the 10th - the most care, most paranoia if you will, is present shortly after an attack. My hope is that Birmingham is safe and the event is nothing more than an understandable caution.
Nice of you to say.
Know that your cousins on this side of the pond are with you 100%.

At least you see things the way they are, without being blinded by the leftist propaganda. Churchill said something like: "If you are not to the left when young, you have no heart; if not to the right when older, you have no brain". You are still growing!
The thing is, Galloway is pretty much the same kind of critter as the terrorists. Certainly, we know that there were documents found in Iraq at the beginning of the war that stated plainly that he was getting Oil For food money from Hussein. He and others who were so dead set against us were making a pretty penny off of the situation just the way it was--and I have no doubt that he'd like to return to that arrangement.
Galloway is in league with the people who attacked London, the people who would like to attack it again. He's in league with them either in hopes of more "oil vouchers" or simply out of sour grapes for having the spigot shut off.
Some things are above politics. Too bad the liberals over here don't understand that.
