Iranian movement has '40,000 bombs'(suicide bombers ready for carrying out attacks )

An Iranian Islamic organisation which has been allegedly recruiting suicide bombers for carrying out attacks against Americans in Iraq and Israel has claimed to have mobilised 40,000 "time bombs", an Arabic media report said.

An Al-Arabiya TV broadcast claimed that the volunteers wanted to carry out "martyrdom operations to liberate Islamic lands", the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which translates news from Arabic media, said.

The chairman and spokesman of the World Islamic Organisation's

Headquarters for Remembering the Shahids, Mohammad Ali Samedi, claimed that his organisation began recruiting the suicide bombers a year and a half ago.

The organisation has since been "engaged in organising conventions, registering volunteer suicide bombers online, and providing guidance and training for martyrdom operations," he said.

The TV report claimed that some prominent public figures, including those close to newly elect Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, are supportive of the movement.

Veteran member of parliament, Mahdi Kuchak-Zadeh, from the prominent conservative party Coalition of Iran's Developers (Abadgoran) which backed Ahmadinejad, is said to be active in the organisation.

However, the spokesmen for the organisation have maintained for the last one year that it is an independent movement with no support from the Iranian government, the report said.

I can just imagine it now: The phone rings Abu;s Mommas answers it. " Its Ali Samadi, Abu , he says its time to report for your suicide bomb. He said be there by 8pm and dont be late the timer is already set." Do you want supper before you go?" No Ma it might upset my stomach. You know how hard it is to explode yourself on an upset stomach.

"That's what you a-l-w-a-y-s say, and I've worked hard all day cooking this goat over the open fire and you k-n-o-w how the neighbors h-a-t-e it when I cook a goat in the front yard (damn Yankee rules!)and then you don't appreciate what all I do for you. Look at how white your rag for your head is; do you think it just gets that way all by itself. There's no appreciattion I tell you, no appreciation! But you go right ahead and have a good time with your friends"

Why??????

------------------------------------

Because there are people on FR who care much more about Iran than about America.

during fiscal 2004, according to the federal Office of Immigration Statistics, another 1,283 arrived legally from Saudi Arabia, 12,888 from Pakistan, 1,787 from Yemen, 6,590 from Egypt and 779 from Sudan.

This is almost 24,000 in one year, from only 5 countries. And I don't think these were on temp visas. Still looking for the other stat.

23] No estimates are available on the number of children who participated in the Iran-Iraq war, but Hojjatoleslam Hashemi Rafsanjani, later president, stated in 1982 that Iran's armed forces had been supplemented by 400,000 volunteers. An exiled source claims that since military service was compulsory from the age of 18 , most of these "volunteers" were likely to be younger.[18] Gulf war statistics about prisoners, casualties and their ages are unreliable, but according to the International Committee of the Red Cross at least 10 per cent of Iranian prisoners were under 18 .[19] Iranian officers captured by the Iraqis claimed that nine out of ten Iranian child soldiers were killed.

According to one journalist, most recruits had between one and three months of military training before being sent to the front, but some had no training at all.[20] Boys as young as nine were reportedly used in human wave attacks and to serve as mine sweepers in the war with Iraq.[21] Many child soldiers were captured by the Iraqis and transferred to a special Prisoner of War camp for children.[22] Some 300 , most believed to be 15 or younger were held by Iraq in a special, separated compound at Al-Ramadi, about 60 miles west of Baghdad, where they were are exploited by the Iraqi authorities for propaganda purposes.[23]

Believe al-arabiya if you choose, I do not. This reeks of propaganda.

What I care about is freedom and I am not particular in the way that we get and keep it.

Seriously, what do you suppose the reproduction numbers would be on this many, over say ten to twenty years? Might be interesting to run a mathematical calculation based on an 'average' number of children they produce - there is probably a stat out there somewhere on that.

Good now when we drop a nuke we can blame it on 40 thousand iranian "sewerside" bummers detonating all at once.

And in a related story, the government broke crosses from eight more war memorials, and chisled the Ten Commandments from six more public buildings this week...

Trying to find what I read earlier this week.

But just remember, this was over three years after 911. So doing the numbers I would estimate since 911 we have imported about 72,000 from terrorist countries since 911. And I don't think this includes temp visas, student visas etc where many of the visa holders never show up when time to go home.
