Since he's been consistently saying that his availability is "proof" of his innocence, his being missing sure reeks.
Since British citizens have no right to privacy, why was this man not surveilled, given that he is suspected in other terrorist attacks?
I submit this excerpt, along with the rest of your post, as prima facia evidence that socialists are naive, foolish, and suicidal.

If he were a white supremacist or a holocaust denier, they would extradite him. I recently read about a non violent holocaust denier who was kicked out of the U.S for a hokey visa violation, and sent to Canada where he was wanted on hate charges. They called him a threat to national security. They then sent him to Germany where he is now in jail. It is beyond beleif that this man is in prison for life because of his words, but mad bombers walk freely on the streets of Europe.
Yep. It will certainly come to this in time. Islamist terrorism will only end following a reformation within Islam, this forced by a few decades of frontier justice meted out by a populace that will have had enough. After a few more major attacks, we'll be there. Only about 50-100,000 casualties to go, I would think.
Summary.
al-Gerbouzzi and his wife (who spells her name a little differently than her husband, adding a u before the e) have six children. They fled their home country because dad was wanted as a suspect in 12 terrorists attacks in Casablanca, killing 33, and for allegedly playing a large part in the terrorist attacks in Madrid, which killed 191 and injured or maimed over 1,500. When the press catches up with him, he says "I am not hiding from anyone," yet takes a "holiday" in light of the investigation into the train and bus bombings. He insists a mystery official in the Moroccan government is framing him, and that's why there's an international warrant on his head and allegations he trained in Afghanistan. His hero is a suspected terrorist cleric fighting deportation charges.
Working British people provide public housing for these hard working immigrants, free schooling for their kids and free medical and dental, along with money for food and clothing. al-Gerbouzzi supplements the welfare by importing cheap Islamic clothing and selling it or, or by importing bomb making components hidden inside the clothing. al-Gerbouzzi is now suspected of blowing up working Brits commuting to work so they could pay taxes to support al-Gerbouzzi and his large immigrant family. Even though al-Gerbouzzi is suspected in several other bombings and allegedly trained in Afghanistan, the Brits forego surveillance because the Moroccans didn't provide enough evidence. Now nearly 800 innocent working Brits are either injured or dead in a small nation dependent on public transportation.
After 911, I intellectualized, pondering our interventionism and oil politics along with connections between our government and the oppressive Saudis. I don't think I will ever get to the point of persecuting Muslim people, but at this point, I do not care what motivated these attacks. I don't care to ponder WHY or what their cause is. There was NO logical or strategic target here. It wasn't a politician, a police station, the military or upper crust power brokers. These were working class average folks with families, as the victims in Madrid were.
I still support gradual disengagement from terrorist breeding grounds, but I pray that all involved in this are extradited to Morocco. If the Brits get him, he will live rent free in prison and his wife and 6 kids will continue to live on welfare.

If he's an international trader and has the money to fly around the world, and to willy nilly "deliver aid" to Pakistan, why is wife receiving welfare?

Why does he need to travel to trade in clothing?
Can't he hire someone to buy, sell and ship for him?
When filling out the welfare forms, does his wife list that his income is equal to his travel and lodging expenses?
Does the British government allow him to write off those expenses?
Why be away from your wife and six children if you don't make enough money to be off the dole?
Wouldn't the man make more money being the groundskeeper at his mosque?
Is it possible the wife's last name differs from his by one letter because they are engaging in welfare fraud?

It may come to that. At least, you would think that the professionals could sort between those who require a bullet and those who are given refugee status. Lower the bullet requirements and raise the refugee requirements, for a start.
The philosophy of the UK security services as I understand it, formed by the long secret war against the IRA, is that it's much better to let them run around, shoot their mouths off, organise and feel safe as long as you can watch them.
The proof of this will be in whether there are early arrests, or more likely, SAS'ings.
