"But what is the difference between putting a bomb in an autobus and sitting in Downing Street and ordering to send bombs on people? Fifty people died in the attacks yesterday, 20,000 died in Iraq."

Muslims are responsible for both.

Innocent people are dying BECAUSE muslims made the choice to fight among the innocent. We'd happily fight an army, if they'd send one. They are the ones responsible for the civilian casualties in Iraq.

Oh I'm sorry - it was muslims that blew a hole in the side of the USS Cole and muslims that killed our marines in Lebanon and muslims that killed 3000 men women and children at the World Trade Center and muslims that blew up a train in Spain - and wasn't it muslims that dragged a dead marine through the streets of Mogadishu -- But I'm supposed to like muslims and be nice to them.

Hell no I'll not play that game.

The word to remember with Islam is: deception.
It is inbred, and taught from infancy. To EACH OTHER they are truthful, for everyone else there is another face-the face that most suits the purpose.
If- after ALL the anti-Muslim, 'unfair' backlash they fear- those who reject terrorism do not DEMAND a reform of their 'religion'(i.e. rethinking the violence it promotes and revising the Koran), and TURN IN the terrorists/extremists in their midst, then it is safe to assume one of two things.
1- They are NOT horrified by terrorism. The everyday Muslim might not, personally, be assembling bombs or financing those who do, but they think the end will justify the means.
-or-
2- The 'religion' is so evil that deviation from the cult is impossible. They are either too brainwashed to imagine change, or they know that they will be killed if they do.

Both justify the revulsion the whole world is beginning to have for everything to do with Islam.

Isn't it sad that the ONE thing Muslims DO NOT lie about is the fact that they want the whole world Islamic;that they will not tolerate any other religion OR political system- and yet this is the ONE thing people refuse to believe?!
Even if we bugged every mosque in this country( which should be done)- and HEARD for ourselves-the treason spoken there by the same friendly, smiling Muslims we see every day, it would not matter.
Few want to believe the ugly truth. Pleasant lies are so much nicer!

The word to remember with Islam is: deception.....

How sad (even if not true-not that I am quibbling) that one of the worlds great religions (in size, at the least) has fallen to such a low point on the actions of so few and the inactions of so many.

A thread that fits right in with many of the comments on this one:

Muslim people have been raped by people," he said.

Mostly by other muslims I suspect. Somehow, I'm not convinced they really grasp the sins that are being committed in the name of Islam and that it is really sin.

"But what is the difference between putting a bomb in an autobus and sitting in Downing Street and ordering to send bombs on people? Fifty people died in the attacks yesterday, 20,000 died in Iraq."

It is precisely this attitude that justifies blaming all Muslims. If you are not with us, you are against us.

Ahhh, the last refuge of a morally bankrupt cause: moral equivalence.

It's in the book:

[9.30] And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Muslims fear they'll pay for bombings

What? They never heard of charging the parties that caused the damage?

...may Allah destroy them...

Ohhhh, that's just a figure of speech.
Only a wacko zealot would interpret that to mean......

Nevermind.

"We're sorry for the people who died yesterday," said Salam Sulta, 30.

"But what is the difference between putting a bomb in an autobus and sitting in Downing Street and ordering to send bombs on people? Fifty people died in the attacks yesterday, 20,000 died in Iraq."

No you're not Salam. Your words betray your true feelings.

Oh, and Salam, wait for a backlash before crying, ok? Let's mourn, and bury the dead first.

Methinks Islam isn't going to make it into the 20th century (let alone the 21st).

I posted this yo jayhorn on another thread after he told me to "Cool it!" with regard to my use of the Bible:

In 1997 I was in Vladivostok when the USS Belleau Wood, the Flag Ship of the Pacific Fleet anchored off the coast and thousands of U.S. Sailors and Marines came ashore for liberty. I was within 30 feet of a half dozen Black Muslims in U.S. Navy white uniforms who railed upon, publicly scorned and ridiculed and made threatening gestures toward Christian Missionaries who were doing nothing but distributing Christian literature on the street.

These were MUSLIMS in our own United States Navy who publicly, verbally attacked Christian missionaries on the streets of a foreign city, and the crowd did freeze, wondering if those Muslims were actually going to attack the missionaries...that is how openly threatening their gestures were that day. AMERICANS THREATENED BY MUSLIM MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVY!! DON'T TELL ME TO BE COOL!

We had in 1997 assertive Muslims within our military, who, when given a chance, will band together and intimidate others. The ones mentioned above were, of course, on liberty in a foreign city. Perhaps they thought that that was the place to get away with such. I wonder if any of their shipmates reported their behavior to superiors on board when liberty was over. We were discouraged at the U.S. Consulate in Vladivostok from filing any complaint to the military attache there.

They have to speak out against Islamofascism/Jihad, bin Laden/Hammas, and al Qaeda and any other secret Muslim terrorist orgs.. They have to weed out the crackpot mullahs who preach death to infidels and sedition. Even that won't be enough. They should go through the Koran and dump the warmongering/hatefilled passages. If they don't clean house, we will.

Despite the fears of a backlash, the head of London police commissioner Ian Blair reported no troubles.

"This is Friday and a day of prayers for Islam and there has been no events, no disturbances, no difficulties near the London mosques and that is a great step forward," he told reporters.

No, this isn't a "great step forward."

This is civilized people acting as such.

Until other measures are required to preserve civilization.

Yes, I know. Other translations render it as "God's curse on them!" But that tends to obscure things. I prefer the literal translation and then let Muslims explain it to me. None has resorted to the "figure of speech" explanation so far. Apparently it is meant to be taken as a figure of speech in English and literally in the mosques.
