Live thread for your comments.
Lance is on his own.
Mountain time!
Where is the rest of Discovery???
Kloden getting away
I think we are getting a foretaste of the the days to come.
Already tomorrow should be great.
Then tuesday and wednesday...
You've gotta love this stuff :-)
Basso attacks!
Basso is my man...
Signs of weakness though from the Discovery team. Armstrong was left all alone as soon as Vino made his move.
I figured Armstrong would pay a price for the big russian missing from the blue trian this year.
Perhaps we are in for a more close contested tour this year.
IMHO that would be great as a neutral fan.
This doesn't surprise me. Lance looks to have a fight on his hands with everyone attacking! (great for TV viewing)
Kloden flying down the decent of Col de la Schluct at 70KPH. Roughly 17km to go...
Armstrong cuts Kloden's lead to just a few seconds, now making his decent.
The gap is up to 20 seconds between Armstrong and Kloden with 2km left.
Armstrong gives 20-27 seconds to Kloden in the end.
I was thinking the exact same thing, this may be a replay of the close tour where Lance fell on Alpe D'Huez.
32 on my fixie.
1. LANCE ARMSTRONG (USA) Discovery Channel 28.06.17
2.Jan Voight (Germany) Team CSC, 1.00 behind
3. Alexander Vinokourov (Russia-Kaz) T-Mobile, minus 1.02
4. Bobby Julich (USA) Team CSC minus 1.07
5. Ivan Basso (Italy) Team CSC, minus 1.26
6. Jan Ullrich (Germany) T Mobile, minus 1.36
Wasn't Lance blunt in comments regarding the poor effort of his team today. He's looked vulnerable before, we'll see how he responds this time.
