Salamalaykum, i have had a dog for 10 years and it died a couple of days ago. I was wondering what happens to animals when they die. Where do they go? Will we ever see them again? Do they go to the same paradise as us or a different one?? I look forward to your response inshallah. Salamualaykum wa rahmatollah.

Animals will be resurrected on the day of Qiyaamat, their disputes among each other settled and they will be turned into sand.
Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-Aas [radhiallaahu anhum] mentions, 'The earth will be flattened on the day of Qiyaamat, Jinns, humans, animals and creatures will be resurrected. On the day, Allah will command the animals to take revenge (from the one who oppressed it) to such an extent that if a horned sheep tossed a hornless sheep, it will avenge it. When Allah resolves the matter of retaliation between animals, He will order them to turn into sand. When the disbeliever sees this, he will say, 'How nice if I was also turned into sand.' (Musnad Abu Dawud pg. 248)

This sounds suspiciously like Gozor the Gozarian in Ghostbusters.

their disputes among each other settled and they will be turned into sand So, why bother settling the dispute, then?

The hamburger I had last night turned into something entirely different than sand. Unfortunately, the corn retained its shape.

I wonder what the animals "dispute" with each other: "Hey, Mr. Wolf, you were very baaa-a-a-a-d to eat me."

So what if animal A is "oppressed" by animal B. And Animal B is "oppressed" by animal C. And animal A is also "oppressed" by animal C. Does animal A get to "take revenge" on animal B & C? Or does an attack on animal B by animal A also count as an attack on animal C due to the transitive property since animal B will also "take revenge" on animal C?
This answer raises so many other questions. Can I have this Imam's email address?

According to Sir Richard Burton, noted orientalist and the translator of "Arabian Nights", the expression "and Allah knows best" was routinely used when one was fibbing or telling an outright lie.

Animals will be resurrected on the day of Qiyaamat, their disputes among each other settled and they will be turned into sand. He raises them just so they can tear each other apart, and then he snuffs them again.
Gee, what a nice, blood thirsty God they have there.

When the disbeliever sees this, he will say, 'How nice if I was also turned into sand.' Wow. That's depressing. Sand is the best they have to look forward to?
"Please. I pray, make me into a clump of sand." (are fleas an added bonus?)

"If God doesn't have dogs and horses in Heaven, I'm not going." Indeed. Consider the contrast of Christian musings on the subject from the Monks of New Skete...
"Do the bonds of relationship extend beyond this life? We have no proof, one way or another. But there is a depth to our experience that awakens faith, faith that in the mysterious character of life ultimately nothing of real value will ever be lost. Our closest relationships, both with humans and with dogs, somehow point beyond themselves, leading us to the hope that there is indeed something of the eternal present in them."
