Isolationism is not an option.

So people who oppose illegal immigration are isolationists? Are you saying that by accepting illegal immigration from other countries, thats part of our economic relationship with them?

Controling ones borders is not isolation.

If we use the tancredo-haters definition of "resign", then George W. Bush "resigned the Presidency" on June 29, 2002, when Cheney became acting President for a few hours while Bush underwent surgery. Perhaps the Tancredo haters should explain the President about his "resignation" when he temporarily stepped aside. He didn't seem to get the memo

That has to be one of the biggest stretches I've ever seen.

There is a big difference when President Bush "steps aside" and goes into surgery for a few hours, and tom tancredo going to the liberal media cameras and backstabbing Tom Delay, saying he should step aside over democrat trumped up charges.

Peddling? What a choice of terms.

No slanted reporting here.

Of course that that have benefited by millions being paid substandard wages have much to lose.

Follow da money.

"Isolationism is not an option."

Giving up the country is not an option either.

"Furthermore, with Bay as his apparent campaign manager there can be no doubt that Tancredo is not going to be a serious candidate."

I disagree. His association with Bay and Pat Buchanan just confirms my suspicion that the is primary run is a formality, and the real plan is to have him on the ballot as a third-party candidate in 2008.

And, I will say... this party will be in real trouble if it runs an open-borders RINO elitist (McCain, Giuliani, etc), because many conservative voters are going to be very tempted to vote for a pro-life, pro-2nd-amendment, pro-border-security/sovereignty conservative like Tancredo.

Isolationism is not an option.

Isolation from terrorists and illegal aliens is not only a viable option, it's about the only thing that may keep you and your family from being blown up...

"the real plan is to have him on the ballot as a third-party candidate in 2008. "

I agree. The reason he will be a third party candidate is because they can continue to raise money and get federal matching funds all the way up to the day of election.

But surely you are not so naive as to believe that he can win the Presidency as a third party candidate are you?

Did you know that there were a sizable number of FReepers who actually believed up to election day that Buchanan would win the election in 2000? And even though he only got four tenths of one percent of the vote, many of those same FReepers believe today that Tancredo will get elected. They don't even have the shame or pride to be embarrassed by their naivety. They'll do the same thing in 2008.

"BTW, I'm STILL waiting for Bayourod to explain why Pat's "sock puppet" endorsed Bush in 2000 and didn't lift a FINGER to help Pat's presidential campaign. I expect he'll answer when hell freezes over"

Ask Tancredo. I'd guess that he and Buchanan didn't enter into their partnership until 2004.

Do you know that it is considered very rude on FR to post comments about another FReeper without pinging that person. In some cases it's also obviously cowardly.

I'm wondering if terrorists, who were here on vacation or something, would have any trouble enlisting in our military.

He runs on the race card and attacks fellow Republicans every chance he gets.

Yeah, right. What color is the sky in your bizarro world?

I hope you are wrong in your analysis. If true, this means President Hillary.

I don't like what he did to Republicans when he suggested it may be helpful for DeLay to step aside while there is an investigation but this would be carrying it too far. This would be an outrage.

Tancredo / Paul in '08!!

Great, tancredo can join the bunch below.

Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) (C) gestures at the podium during a news conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., June 16, 2005, regarding legislation calling upon the Bush Administration to produce a plan to withdraw troops from Iraq. With Paul are representatives Walter Jones (R-NC) (L), Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) (2nd L) and Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) (R). Photo by Chris Kleponis/Reuters

IOW, all we are saying, is give the terrorists a chance.

Giving the "terrorists" a chance?

I chance to do what?

To walk accross the mexican border into our nation?

To carry in all sorts of deadly items?

To take up residence anywhere they please because our elected leaders refuse to live up to their oath?

To make it possible for another attack to take place?

".....Tancredo peddling his message in Iowa......"

Peddling?

In Hillary's case this would be euphimistically known as a "Listening Tour".

Nice try at dodging there, uh look at the picture again in reply #37 of this thread, where your hero ron paul is standing proudly next to dennis kookcinich, giving aid and comfort to the enemy, islamic fanatics.
