The other good thing is that now that Indiana has a GOP governor, I don't look for Lugar to serve out his full term after re-election..Maybe after the 2008 election, he retires..Pence gets appointed..then he can run in 2010 as an incumbent.....

The only flaw in this is that Daniels will also be up for re-election in 2008, and he won't have Bush's coattails.

Daniels is so far doing a great job, but there is some resentment because of the new Colts stadium, Daylight Savings Time, etc.

I would rather we have Someone run for Lugar's seat in 2008 and have Lugar announce his retirement early enough that our candidate gets a good start.
