The only flaw in this is that Daniels will also be up for re-election in 2008, and he won't have Bush's coattails.

Daniels is so far doing a great job, but there is some resentment because of the new Colts stadium, Daylight Savings Time, etc.

I would rather we have Someone run for Lugar's seat in 2008 and have Lugar announce his retirement early enough that our candidate gets a good start.

Don't understand your comments, Miss M..please elaborate/clarify/expound..to wit: 2. Because you think Lugar won't serve a full term that's why you don't want him to run again..?

Um, no he is not. He raised sin taxes and encouraged raising food and bevarage taxes to give millions to the billionaire colts. And the Colts get their stadium, but school funding gets flatlined. He supports the eminent domain land grab to build the I-69 extention that we don't need. He forced DST on a state that doesn't want it or need it. And he is proposing a 1% tax on the "rich" like a good little socialist statist authoritarian.

To tell you the truth, it's hard to imagine him doing much worse of a job. He makes our dem governors look good.
