FOUR PSYCHOLOGICAL STAGES OF THE BATTERED WOMAN SYNDROME
DENIAL -
The woman refuses to admit--even to herself--that she has been beaten or that there is a "problem" in her marriage. She may call each incident an "accident". She offers excuses for her husband's violence and each time firmly believes it will never happen again.
GUILT -
She now acknowledges there is a problem, but considers herself responsible for it. She "deserves" to be beaten, she feels, because she has defects in her character and is not living up to her husband's expectations.
ENLIGHTENMENT -
The woman no longer assumes responsibility for her husband's abusive treatment, recognizing that no one "deserves" to be beaten. She is still committed to her marriage, though, and stays with her husband, hoping they can work things out.
RESPONSIBILITY -
Accepting the fact that her husband will not, or can not, stop his violent behavior, the battered woman decides she will no longer submit to it and starts a new life.
That is because liberals/progressives live in a state of arrested development.
What I don't understand is -- the lefties/feminists all yak about 'blaming the victim' and how the rape victim is not responsible for being attacked. And then they turn right around and BLAME THE VICTIM. It IS a mental disease.
I think it is a mental disease. However, I think with battered women, most were battered or abused as children. I don't know what the psychological factor is that caused the left to want to blame themselves.
It is a self-flagellating sort of syndrome. If you will, a beat me, beat me, or I will beat myself.

Which is why so many liberals/progressives do, in fact, beat their wives. I wonder if same applies to wives who beat their husbands.
Having said that, I still don't understand what occurred to them to want to blame the US for all evils.

They think they are 'nuanced' -- as in, "I see it yet a different way." I think it is pride. They think they are intellectually superior to the rest of us. They think they are open-minded. They think they are willing to look at things in a new way and we are stuck in the mud. They are IDIOTS.
