Ohyeah they do. That's why he's only been in four races this year. That's why this is his last race. To be with his kids.

Sorry, I stand corrected. But that has happened before. I was wrong about OJ and Michael Jackson. It turns out they were innocent. I thought Rock Hudson was straight. I think Tom Cruise is in love, and straight. I thought Bill Clinton was a really nice guy and his wife was too. People said they are. I was sure Newt Gingrich loved his former wife and that Dick Morris would never fool around on his.

So if you say Armstrong is really in to his kids as his "people" have said then it must be true too and I must be wrong again.

Everytime I see an article about this guy I'm reminded how he dumped his wife and kids for this floozy.

FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO ATTACKED ME FOR MY STATEMENTS ABOUT ARMSTRONG'S MARRIAGE:

Well EXCUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME!!!!

I haven't heard it "for the 100th time"!

I come here to learn.

Apparently, I was wrong.

You don't need to be so darned rude about correcting me.

...geesh...

Um...sorry, but apparently he DIDN'T dump his wife and kids for that "floozy".

Related info is posted a bit further down-thread from the article.

I must be wrong again

Facts are facts. Sounds like you're wrong an awful lot.

I know. I was pretty sure OJ killed his wife but now I'm positive OJ will find the killers.

I tried "spinning" at the gym when that fad started. I hated it. I am not much of a bike rider either (I prefer to watch the peleton). Cycling and long distance running and swimming definitely require mental toughness and endurance, as well as physical.

LOL! Betcher boots it does! And I was only going a lousy 12 miles. :) Heat and humidity didn't help, though, so I'll blame my ineptness on that, heh heh.

All those months of bike riding did great things for the lower body, though. Now that I've had my baby, I'm thinking of taking it up again...I like riding better than running, that's for sure. But I'll probably be running again...though I can only do about 8 mile runs, max.

In my teen years, I scoured the networks for signs of the tour, but those days, it wasn't huge. There were no cable networks to track the live progress of Greg LeMond, Bernard Hinault, Laurent Fignon or Pedro Delgado. Instead, I'd set a VCR for six hours on a Sunday, and cross my fingers for about 20 minutes of highlights.

Translation: I was watching the TDF before it was popular, before YOU people did, I'm a true fan, not a poseur! We used to have a saying in high school about things like this: "I was punk before you".

Okay, I'm sorry.
I quess I just get weary that every thread on Lance
or the TdF has the same mis-info. I love the sport and I like Lance too.
The sad fact of his broken marriage is that it is a shame. There are
always two sides and I guess the prevailing thought is Lance
dumped his wife. It's just not true. There are a few things I don't admire
about Lance, but there are many more that I do. More than that,
cycling is just a great sport to participate in and follow.

Also, cycling doesn't lend itself to big money sponsors like beer, pizza and cosmetics.

True, but it should lend itself to veggie burgers, Subaru's, and rainbow bumper stickers pretty well.

She couldn't handle it and she left him. Do you think of her poorly?

If that's what happened. Yes.

"bop her upside the head"

I didn't see it as I'm not a rider but a number of riders I know told me that some of the riders in the last Ride for the Roses here in Austin resented her being there.

I'm sure there's a bike racing term for it but apparently they made sure she crashed and burned at every opportunity.
