US President George Bush is attending the G8 Summit at Gleneagles, Scotland, which unfortunately was disturbed today due to the terrorist attack in London. British PM Tony Blair left Gleneagles to return to London briefly to assess the situation though returned to the summit later in the evening.
The summit will continue tomorrow but it is expected to end probably a little earlier than originally intended to allow Tony Blair to return to London tomorrow afternoon
Vice President Dick Cheney will undergo a routine exam Friday to check the condition of a high-tech pacemaker that was placed in his chest in June 2001.
Cheney spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride said the tests at George Washington University Medical Center would include a physical exam, an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test. The vice president planned to be back at work later in the day, she said.
"It's a routine physical," she said. She said the vice president also would have a colonoscopy later this month.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice signed the book of condolences at the British Embassy in Washington she also met with the British Ambassador to the U.S. David Manning

May God be a comfort to them tonight!
Today... We are all Brits. I woke this morning and checked FR before I left for work, as I usually do, and I was horrified over what I was reading. I jumped in m y car and tuned into FOX news on my Satellite Radio and was sickened by the NEWS of the loss of innocent life in London by the ruthless Terrorist our brothers across the Pond have been fighting along side of us since that terrible day in September, 2001
All, day long I have been thinking about the countless lives affected by this senseless attack on a Nation who wouldn't hesitate sending their finest to anywhere on the planet in the Defense of the Freedom of people they will never know.
There is no greater friend than Great Britain, and my thoughts and prayers are with our friends from across the Pond
good post, my friend. sleep well, if you can. Events like those of today rob us of not only joy but also rest.
It is a good thing you are an eskimo because you are a very COLD person. It can get really cold (temperature wise) and you would probably think it is normal. Your "grace" froze up a long time ago.
He is totally tone deaf and like a lot of so called highly intelligent types,he has no common sense. He also blew any chances he had for the Dem nominee for President by appearing on the cover of that "Gay" magazine. Wwhat a yutz.
You are right,as a veteran of three nasty hurricanes last year (Charley,Frances and Jeane, and Ivan missing us but coming back as a tropicaL storm to get us I'm paranoid. I hope he (Dennis) leaves the Panhandle alone, they have been through toooo much already. Just let him die over he mountains in Cuba.
well said (again).. night Mike
"The power of prayer is immeasurable, and I'm sure your prayers are working wonders. I make a point of stopping in and saying hello to our wounded Marines at Bethesda Naval Hospital, just outside of Washington D.C. and less than 3 miles from my shop. Every time I visit them I am inspired by their strength and in awe of their sense of duty. When I leave, I often find myself fighting back tears, not tears of sorrow, but tears of pride. The least of these fine men are ten times the man I am."
Now there is a powerful witness. I don't have to tell you how blessed you are for the experience. You are doing in
reality what I think in the mind, if I where around these hospitals that tend to our fallen heros. Much like the Marine I mentioned, his name is Adam. His mom's name is Gloria. What a strong women of faith she is. You are performing a miracle in the works. Your time and love of heart probably means more to these guys then you could ever imagine. To have someone just show up and say hi, to ask how they are doing. As you are now aware, whether they be a sailor, airmen, soldier, or Marine, they have qualities seldom witnessed in our civilian world. And it tends to rub off on you whether you realize it or not. You are like a human care package Mike. The Lord is using you in big things. May HE keep you and preserve you, and provide you with more blessings then you perhaps would ask for. Aaah, just one little thing, and I am sure you are totally aware, you and I pray, the Lord takes care of the "working wonders". of course in your case I think the wording is a bit more applicable.
You take care, and
Semper Fi. You are living what it really stands for.
I will add Adam and Gloria to my prayer list, it's the least I can do for a family who is sacrificing more than I could ever imagine. Adam and Gloria's names will be on the note pad on our Fridge. It's a list of those who my family prays for. The prayer is the same for all.... "May God Bless, Protect and Comfort those for whom we pray for on this list"
I doubt he ever took it off.

Thanks Mike. That was a kind thought on your part. The Lord has worked so mightly thus far in their lives, why not have more blessings heeped on them. If the Lord provides for this Adam's eyes sight to be fully restored. It will really set of a barrage of faith building at the Marine Parent web site. Adams eyes are not in good shape due to the intense flash of light and heat that hit his face when the RPG went off. I had voiced publically that if it pleases the good Lord, Adam's eye sight would be restored.
You take care, I gotta sign off, my eye balls are quite bleary being on the PC for some fifteen hours plus.
Take care
George
He's here to cause trouble. He does it from time to time. Makes him feel important. He can't seem to see he is just making an ass of himself.
God Bless you and yours!,
Mike
