I, unfortunately, don't share your faith...yet. While I applaud the like's of Blair and Straw, the fact is Britain has bent over backward to accomadate the very extemists that attacked them today. Hell, France has more stringent anti-terror/threat laws than the UK. Listening to commentary today, it appears Britain entered into its own deal with devil...allowing the extremists to exist, as long as they didn't attack the host.
And unike America, liberalism is the governing culture in England...as it is in much of Europe. I predict it won't be long before the BBC and many in Europe start blaming Bush for this attack. I could be wrong....and I hope I am, but I fear it will take more than this for Europe to realize the problem they've helped create. Liberal guilt is entrenched within these societies...and it is events like this that allow that guilt to flourish. I hoped 9/11 would restore my faith in American liberals...that was gone a week later.
