You are correct that we need safer borders. But what Bush said is generally true: we need to take the war to enemy territory. If you are in a completely defensive mode, you will lose every time.
I disagree. With terrorism, you have to be in a defensive mode.
Clearly, with the 49 people they found yesterday, wandering around a U.S. Air force base, all of them here illegally, is not security.
No one was even held responsible as far as I know.
With terrorism, you must have defense as they don't operation like a conventional army. They have the drop on you, and we don't know when they will strike. That's why I said, the only real defense we have here, is border security, real strict immigration reform and good intel.
Otherwise, like what just happened to the British, we can fight terrorism over there, but it wont stop them from hitting us at home.
