A rash and violent response from the Brittish citizens is probably the best thing that could happen for the Brits. Unfortunately, they're largely unarmed.

Disarming the Brits is not much of a deterrent if they get really p**sed off. Ever watch the soccer fans when riled up? Turn those bad boys loose on the Muslims and there'll be so many towel heads flying around the British Isles, it will look like the inside of a giant clothes dryer ;-)
no it isn't. That might be what anarchists like to do at certain g8 meetings, but normal people don't feel like adding unnecessary chaos to society.
