Multiple simtaneous attacks is Bin Laden's/Al Qaueda's trade mark. That is what I am thinking.

I don't think the French could manage the coordination of these attacks.

IRA usualy phones authorities so they can evacuate people so the bomb only causes material damage.
This seems to be connected to islamic terrorism, also because in the UK there are lots of radicals and the UK's involvement in Iraq.

My money is on the jihadis. And these guys almost always go overboard, thinking they're striking a blow that will help their radical islamic cause when, in fact, the result is just the opposite. They're dangerous fools, but fools nonetheless.
I predict much pain for muslims in Britain (and elsewhere) in the coming days, weeks, months and years.

pfff the terrorists are ineffective. By tommorow everything will be going on just as normal. They fail.

They should have been paying since 1967.

From
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4659093.stm Another eyewitness, Dorothy Molloy, had been on a Tube train at King's Cross and said "staff just chucked everyone out of the station".
She said staff there had not given any details, but she said two passengers she had spoken to had said they had received messages saying there had been bombs.
"People didn't really know what was going on, they were just huffing and puffing and saying how annoying it was," she said.
"People don't seem to be panicked, but there's so many police and ambulances coming into the areas. People are just concerned, and some are just annoyed at the delay."
If it is terrorists then they have failed.
To: bobdsmith
It's a lot worse than that. 7-8 explosions...several in tubes 90 casualties so far.

Whilst the I.R.A. are lower than scum, their main intention was always to disrupt life not destroy it. If this is terrorism (and I can't see it being anything else) it is not Irish.
Somebody's going to find out what the roar of the British lion is like.

And who will call these savages, these bastards who did this, "insurgents?" Let them try that! They may call them "insurgents" when they're killing civilians here in Iraq, but let them do it when these nihilistic punks are killing noncombatants in the heart of Europe.

Been living in London for a couple of years, but was living in CT just outside of NYC on 911 so this is a little eerie (and was growing up in LA during the '92 riots, so you can see I'm very lucky with these sorts of things). I was lucky today, tho, as I decided to work at home. I will post what I can based on what's airing on TV.
Sky saying now six blasts reported in London including three on buses ('picture still very confused' says the Metropolitan Police) and all tube and bus services suspended in London. There are still buses going by my window however and they have passengers on them. It's 11:30am here.
One interesting thing is that Edgware Road was one of the stations affected. This is in the heart of normal, upscale, integrated and friendly Muslim neighborhood in West London. In other words, if you're looking for symbolism, it's a strange choice.

Thanks for the information. I have a son in London so please keep it coming. Question. You mention six blasts...do you know if they were in six different areas of London or the initial blast was composed of six blasts?
