Right, it goes without saying that the bomber is intent on killing others, but if he intends on going up with the bomb then it's a suicide bombing.. just wondering if they are playing with words here as the term Suicide bomber is a term quite often used about the bombers in Iraq. Not sure if I'm clear.

This was the subject of a controversy a couple of years ago. Some people (myself included) felt "homicide bomber" was the more apt term, since the bomber was committing murder, not just offing himself. "Suicide bomber" sounds like some dude alone in a field blowing himself up.
