All our national resources and legal machanisms will have to be retooled in the effort to defeat this enemy. It will require more people and more equipment. It will require less freedom and more severe sentences, and a greater probability that an innocent person will be condemned.

What about severe methods of interrogation?

We're doing the work. No surprises today other than it took these uncivilized killers of children so long to strike. It easily could be much worse.

I believe that ANY EFFECTIVE method of interrogation must be on the table with respect to terrorists.

They are clearly not signatories to the Geneva Conventions, and it is foolish to treat them as such.
