Join us this weekend at tracks in the heartland of America.
God bless our troops and families and nation.
Keep your spirit up, young warriors, and Godspeed.
ho-lee cow!
They're gonna have to get busy if they are to be ready for the October race!! What a mess.
That's some serious destruction. Dang.
I hope you were not close to this area jackknife!!
Thanks for the pics. Ouch!
The track is south of the city by about 20+ miles, and I live about 15 miles NW of the city. The entire area had bad weather, but the worst was definitely south and southwest of the city.

Ed Clark was on the news saying that the track would be fully operational for the October race weekend. The track surface itself was not damaged. The Weaver (backstretch) grandstands were pretty destroyed. The condos had some damage, as well as the ticketing offices. He said that there was damage to almost all of their property.
Ya know, that car might be one of the BEST lookin' paint jobs that is SUPER SWEET! I'd keep that dual color split scheme all the time!

There's another one coming.
I understand the reason, it was getting late and the race had to get started and the yellow laps helped dry the track.
Yes, not very often, thank goodness, but it happens.
Yes it is a gr8 looking paint job and I agree, too bad they can't keep it that way.
A little news...........
Roush Racing President Geoff Smith says they got the man who was at the top of their wish list of drivers to replace Mark Martin in the #6-car. Jamie McMurray will part ways with Chip Ganassi after next season to pilot what is now the Viagra Ford. He was at the top thats for sure, but we didnt know whether it was going to be available and when and so we were able to work through it and were good to go in 2007." If McMurray is released from his contract with the 42-car at the end of this season it would free him to join Roush next year; however Smith isnt counting on that. Were not planning on that at all at this time. The message hes conveyed to us is that hes expecting to stay in the #42-car all next year. Were not planning on any scenario other than that one." So, who takes over for Mark Martin in 2006? Smith said, There have been so many balls in the air that weve been juggling between drivers and sponsors and when this came up we could do this for 2007 thats now triggered us into a whole new round of assessment about what were going to do for 2006. We hope in a very short period of time well have our 2006 solution figured out."(PRN's Garage Pass), Ricky Craven is one driver rumored as a driver for the #6 for one year
Yes and it's a big one. Maybe Atlanta shouldn't start fixing anything yet.
I hope it fizzles out, but it doesn't look like it.
The Gulf is VERY warm and she may still increase.
Got the son liking Jeff Gordon, anyone who dates models and is in a redneck sport (Note I use redneck as a compliment, cause I R 1) has to be doing something right.
Course my wife the Tony Stewart fan is having a great time the last 2 weeks.
Again, all my friends were Earnhardt (Senior) fans, I was forced to go Gordon!
