Good stories. Yes, Bench was amazing, and revolutionized the position. I long considered him the greatest I had ever seen behind the plate, but some of Pudge Rodriguez's exploits made me have to think again. By any standard, though, Bench was an incredible catcher. Lucky you to have met Warren Spahn. When I was a kid, he and Lou Burdette were the best one-two pitching punch in the game.

Aren't there some free sites to which I can post pictures, and then link from there to FR?

I did this a few years ago. I found a really awesome Hubble photo of a nebula and posted it as my background. I hotlinked the picture without permission. The owner of the site I hotlinked from wasn't too happy about this and changed the photo from the Keyhole Nebula to a naked gay dude stroking his erect pecker. I didn't know about this for a few days. Then the FReepmails started arriving. "Dude! What's up with your homepage?!?!"LMAO!! Thanks! That is just the funniest thing I have heard all week!!!

Maybe someone else knows how to fade the background picture so the text would be visible over the picture in option 2)

I tried doing real pictures, like angels, etc., but found it to be extremely distracting. Makes it harder to read the text.
