You can use any image you want for background, and it will tile itself. Go to the Admin Moderator's about page to see an example.
you aren't serious.
are you?
I like this HTML tester too.

huh?
Kool !
I go there often
I absolutely cannot figure out what you are telling me to do. I can't find a "place where it says 'URL'" anywhere. Please explain.
Mr Spahn and his wife used to live in West Seneca New York, right accross the street from my uncle, about three miles from our home. We used to bid to cut his lawn. Good negotiator. He got the twenty or so neighborhood kids down to ten cents per mow. Mrs Spahn made up for it though. She cut every kid's hair for free in the summer. Buzz cuts. Mr Spahn had the biggest pair of hands I had ever seen until we met Johnny Bench at War Memorial Stadium. He played with the Buffalo Bisons half a season (18 years old) and then the Reds brought him up for a Hall of Fame career. Bench could hold five baseballs in his hand and there are pictures of this out there somewhere.
are you?
Very serious! Now whenever I hotlink an image, I hit refresh several times to make sure that the image I want to post is the image that gets posted. I'm really paranoid about this!
The funniest was the email I recieved from a female Freeper who "really liked" my homepage!
In the part where it says Put your page stuff here put the text that you want to appear on your page. In the part before that where in quotations it says URL put the address of the picture you want tiled
Just replace the letters 'URL' with a picture's address (including the http:// and the www/ and the rest.
"...In the part where it says Put your page stuff here put the text that you want to appear on your page. In the part before that where in quotations it says URL put the address of the picture you want tiled.."
OK, but where do you put All that Stuff???
I already tried what I think you are telling me to do, and it didn't work.

This might not be relevant to the FR personal home page, but for hypertext markup language in general, the default tiled background image appears within the angle brackets that open the document body default specifications, called collectively "the body tags", along with text/linktext colorations. Open your html file in a text editor, find the body specification and insert background="myfile.gif", replacing myfile.gif with your desired tiled background image name. The filename may be fully qualified or relative to your public html directory, or in fully qualified universal resource locator (URL) form. Also some browsers/servers are picky about quoting the filename. Find what works. Stylesheets complicate this somewhat, and the above applies to a simple static html page without stylesheets.
Cool stuff!
Tiles.. are..... well, nevermind, not really important.. :-)
... stuff, or outside it? or somewhere else entirely?
You can avoid the tiling by using a style inside the TABLE tag:
TABLE width="100%" height="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="background-image:url( http:// URL to image );
background-repeat:no-repeat;"
Well, I managed to screw it up!
Sorry about post 36, I put some html code in the question, and it didn't print.
There is a "p" inside arrow brackets at the beginning and end of my profile. Does the background code go inside those html tags, or outside them?
