Yep. Walks and concerts. Without the doors locked and people screaming "what are you guys doing in there?" ; )
We were good friends for three years, dated for two and waited for five before we had kids. And still managed to have them before I turned 30. I wouldn't have done it any other way! Good for your kids.
I bet you'll be ready for the Grandma label easier than you think though.

I think I will, it's a little late tonight, I'll do it tomorrow night. I'm gonna take it to work tomorrow and take a picture of it in front of a French Antique store a few doors down from my shop, I get there in the AM before anybody else on the street and I think Dubya in his Club Gitmo T-Shirt in front of the French Flag will be funny :-)

Love the tagline when did you start using it or have I simply not been paying attention?

Well, the doors will be locked, but no one will be around to ask what we're doing. THAT's the part we're gonna love!
I was 27 when we got married and we still waited 3 years to have kids (we didn't have quite the whirlwind the Bush's did, but we hadn't even known each other a year before we were married, and hadn't even been dating 3 months before we were engaged. We KNEW).
Having time together before the kids come is a good idea if it works that way. We are really hoping that's true with our boys, since they're both so young (and have school to finish).

I have been an empty-nester for over two years. Once in a while I do get melancholy.
A few weeks ago I was driving home and a bunch of middle-school boys were walking along the street, heading for who knows where. I was hit by a piercing memory of my son at that age (he is now 36).
However, I enjoy not having to keep track of a bunch of diffeent schedules, making whatever we want for dinner, and being able to keep the house fairly clean.
Hubby enjoys not having to remember to shut the bathroom door. LOL!

That's a great idea too...one in front of the DNC and the other with a French flag will be a hoot...Rush is gonna get swamped with a lot of photos, but yours will make the cut...

I can see both the advantages and the melancholy, Miss Marple.
With daughter's graduation, I went through zillions of baby pictures and found myself crying now and again as I looked at those four adorable little ones.
In fact, with two sons getting married, daughter living in England, and baby leaving for California in a matter of weeks, I told Mr. OH that I would just break down in tears every once in a while, so that he didn't need to ask why.
Being a 'weeper' himself, we'll both be in bad shape when we leave our baby and come home to an empty house.......

Especially after the horror of the last occupants.
With these two we have gone from the demonic to the celestial, and I LOVE it!
