Don't you think the whole empty nest thing is really more about the mourning of the passing of our own lives than anything else?
As my kids grow, I am so excited, and on occasion afraid, for them. And yet, I would never want it to stand still and go back. So much lays ahead for them.
At the same time, I realize that a good portion of my mission here is passing. And there is a certain sadness in that.
I heard Rush asking for good photos, and I'll be looking for that on his website soon!
***That was a great one beating France - sorry we beat you too LOL***
Don't be sorry that you beat us in getting the 2012 Olympics. Hitlery was crowing about how great she is to try to get the Olympics for NY. I am thrilled that she got shot down. (And I live in NY State.)
:0) back in a few mins just helping dad to bed
See #202
All I have to do is think about how excited I was to leave home and spread my wings a bit, and I get a feel for how my kids feel.
Since she's our fourth, we know that after the initial shock and loss, you come back to the surface and do just fine.
This time might be even better, though, since me and the Mr. will be all by ourselves, and we've never had a bit of trouble coming up with interesting things to do. ;)
hehe along with his lips. lol
LOL...I love it...Im still waiting for the two tees I ordered...I should have used UPS instead of USPO....
You are going to have such a good time. I can't remember, do you have grandbabies yet?
After perusing MANY other websites, I've determined that the following post best summarizes my HAPPY BIRTHDAY thoughts concerning our much respected, loved president!
"Happy Birthday Mr President and Thank YOU for YOUR service to your country. How you continue to stand tall and be strong while the old media slings it's mud and lies at you is amazing. You are truly a role model for us all.
The troops love you! You inspire them. Remember how you were cheered each time your face was on the fan-vision at the Army-Navy football game last year?
You are a great President and Commander-In-Chief! No words can express how much you mean to all of us, especially our brave heroic troops. WE LOVE YOU.
I pray for you everyday that God will bless you and keep you in his loving care, enjoy your birthday and many more!!!!

No grandkids yet, and not planning on any for a while. Only one married, and just recently so. A second will be married in the fall, but they're both very young and have LOTS of time to enjoy each other before having kids.
I'm in no hurry to be called "Grandma."
Thanks for posting it!
MJY1288:
LOVE the photo of the President sporting his new 'Gitmo' t-shirt (Rush will love it too)!
OhioWfan:
Time to post our favorite 'kissing' photos both in honor of the President's '59th' birthday and in anticipation of the President's 'special walk' with his First Lady later this evening!!
BTW: Could some one locate and post the link to an audio/video montage of a certain singer's (?) tribute to the President featuring quotes from the presidential debates in 2000 ("Jesus Christ, because he changed my heart")! IF WE CAN FIND OTHER SIMILAR LINKS/WEBSITES, WE SHOULD POST THEM AS WELL!!
Excellent!!! I bet you make the web site!
Thanks for the links :-)
There is a local DNC office not too far from here. I think I'm gonna take the Cut out and the T-shirt up there in a few minutes and take a picture of Duby standing at their front window :-)
That's hysterical, Mike ... hope we see on Rush's site. LOL.
OMG Mike..you gotta do it..Rush will have a fit...LOL
