I'm going off for a while and watch a movie with my hubby. I'll be back to check the mail in a few hours.

Have a great evening everyone!

Well, I usually tune out after about the fourth word out of her mouth, but it has something to do with how someday people will come to understand how New York is the worlds city or some other kind of spew like that. Blech. Just the sound of her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I haven't heard her say anything about Thompson yet. But W sure understands where his weaknesses are. He has a hard time with the communication part...so what does he do? He picks himself one heck of a communicator to help him out. Doesn't get better than that!

Mostly good, I think. It's healthy that they enjoy school enough to want to go back.

That tends to wear off as they get older, however. Not the liking school part, but the wanting to go back part. :o)

Never tasted them myself but I am told they taste like chicken I think it is something that in Britain seems very alien to the average man in the street hence the derogatory reference to French as frogs.

Well, you gotta love the "looks like before" time.

Do you have earplugs? I wouldn't sleep a minute, but I'd never go to another room.

They both do well in school. Not as well as their ITBS tests say they should be doing, but that is another issue.

The thing that drives me crazy is the dissatisfaction angle. Can't wait to go to school, can't wait to get out of school, can't wait to...you name it. But, that is part of childhood. Every new stage brings new challenges. It sure keeps us humble!

I am very happy with them though. They are the perfect kids for us.

I had them for the first time in a country club on a date in High School (one of my only dates. LOL!)

I agree that they taste like chicken, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat them again. I'd rather go to KFC. :)

Would you be willing to mail your book to Iraq or Afghanistan after you finish reading it? I have a bunch of new books that I would be glad to mail to Iraq or Afghanistan. But I would like you to review the titles for me and recommend which ones would be appropriate for the troops. I suppose the troops do not have a lot of time for reading.

Every new stage brings new challenges and new joys.

I look at my kids' pictures when they were little and feel a tug of nostalgia, but they've kept getting better as they've gotten older (with a few bumps and turns along the way).

I'm wondering how I'm going to do with my empty nest in the fall. I may come here often for comfort!

It's so much better than the gurgling and snoring that I don't hear it after awhile. It's just white noise. Besides, I am a sleep champion!

We'd never go to another room either. I think that happened once when the kids were all barfing and wanted to be in our room. He couldn't afford to get sick and went to the guest room. But if it's not an emergency, I'd rather not sleep than move. It's almost a moral issue.

Whew. Are you ready? Would you really want to go back?

I've got ten or so years before the youngest is gone, so I've got time to prepare myself!

Now for the most important comment...You tried Frog legs!!

It is SUCH a joy to see the excitement of our youngest who is about to fulfill her dream and go to college.

I wouldn't stand in her way, or wish her little again for anything in the world. She's come such a long way in conquering her strong will, and yielding herself to God's purpose for her life that going backwards would be unthinkable.

But she is a very noisy, tornadoish presence in our lives, and we will be more than sad when she's gone. Sometimes I can't even think about it.

And yes, I tried, and liked frog legs. :)

Same guy. He was a Senator as well. IIRC he did a great job during the Clinton shenanigans.

He is very articulate, charismatic and an excellent choice for this particular position I think.
