GW better elect a true conservative or there are going to be defections from the pubbie party. I'm thinking 60/40 he does the correct job but if not it is over for him & the GOP. If the worst happens you can no more denounce that fact of the "Two-Party Cartel" controlled totally by the elites.

I'm concerned he'll nominate GOnzales but don't really think he will.
Reason-he has always surprised us. Think about who he nominated to his cabinet-almost no one at FR got it right.

Yes, but I think the definition of a "true conservative" is very variable. Honestly, sometimes I think that if Scalia was nominated today there are people who would say he wasn't really a "true conservative."
What I would like to see is a Strict Constitutionalist.
