I think Judge Roy Moore would be an excellent choice to start off with; after the leftist Dumbcrats have finished ravaging him, nominate someone ever so slightly less conservative than Moore. That way, when the Dumbcrats set on the new nominee to block his appointment, Bush and the Republicans can go before the American public and point out how obstructionist the Dumbcrats are being and how they are keeping other "vital" government business from being conducted.

No because then you make Roy Moore a martyr, meaning there is no way for the business community in this state to keep him out of office.

No he shouldn't. Way too much baggage. Too many other excellent candidates without that baggage.

It's already coming close to destroying the Alabama GOP.
Next year will be an absolute bloodbath, an absolute bloodbath.

Why would he do that? The kook Moore wants to run for President. Supreme Court is a come down for his ego.

I just heard on the radio that president Bush took a bad spill on his bike, a police officer was also hurt.
Sounds like more of a bruise/scrape spill rather than a 'bad spill'..... You ride a bike hard and spills are a part of it... Several ocurred today and yesterday in the Tour ...
....The fall did not affect the president's schedule. Dressed in a tuxedo, he attended a dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth at the annual Group of Eight economic summit. He showed no signs of distress..... end snip

Yes, but I think the definition of a "true conservative" is very variable. Honestly, sometimes I think that if Scalia was nominated today there are people who would say he wasn't really a "true conservative."
What I would like to see is a Strict Constitutionalist.
