What better way to INVENT the missing link to a flawed and failed THEORY that has become twisted fact in the minds of so many around the world. Don't have the facts...INVENT them and say "Oh yes, this is what it would have looked like!"

Very cool. From a scientific standpoint, however, reconstructing the Homo erectus genome would be even more valuable. I hope they might be able to do that next.

Thanks Val. This project is a pipe dream (and possibly just another pro-Replacement propaganda exercise) considering that the mtDNA supposedly from Neandertal cells amounted to fewer than 400 base pairs out of a presumed original 16,000 base pairs.

"Neanderthal Genome May Be Reconstructed"
Not necessary, already exists. Look at all the ego freaks who took an excess of steroids, then note their facial characteristics of Neanderthals?

The Neandertal Enigma
by James Shreeve
Frayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]
